Well, I'm working on something. Literally everyone I talk to is frankly uninterested. It's very much moreso personal and "Art", so I'd at least like to find someone else who'd "get" it. I mean, it's the kind of thing you'd need to be a specific kind of person to understand at all, and I figured more of those would be here. Also, attaching my SaSu ID to this project (and any other things to come with it) seems to make sense to me at least.
and, onto my earlier wishes to produce a "Swan Song" then ctb, well, I've decided it's meh. I don't feel a "need" to even make my death any more special, and tbh I'm moreso passively suicidal and just don't care that much about my life, so evidently I'm more waiting for a reason to come to me, then leaping over a "barrier" (making something) just to plummet to my death. It's also a bit more interesting to work on this with the idea of a possible "Sequel".
so, presenting : Pseudoangel - Incomprehensible Universe
It's planned to be a somewhere between Interactive Fiction & a Visual Novel. I can't accurately describe it, and I don't even have anything you could download and play.
For now, it's mostly due to literally coding my own engine and shit. It's in C# using the SFML library, I'm even having to implement my own scripting language (the animation was a test of it, soon to implement color, timed pausing, and basic selection, tho it'll always be barebones). Arguably, this is just a waste of time when I could use Ren'py , but well I just like the idea of actually coding this thing and sharpening my hacker skills because of it, so that's what I'm doing. Considering how simple what I'm doing on a technical level actually is, the possible reward down the road and having an engine that's "My own" for this project should be well worth it.
Other then this initial phase of creating the engine, coding aspects should actually be the easiest thing, about the same level as the story, because it's actually simple. I see getting some benefits actually because I wouldn't have to either try to work against an engine too simple or waste a more complex engine where I'm mostly wading through bloat.
So, the harder issue is actually assets, backgrounds and sound effects I can manage using my basic editing skills and public domain stuff. The real issue is when I need art, such as for the characters, especially for that. Music? Well, we'll see, because I've got some interesting ideas for music and ambiance ( Deafening Silence ) .
So, with the basics of moreso behind the scenes, I should move onto the point of the game. I'll only mention the premise and a bit about it because the meaning is a bit much to put here, and that's what the end result should be for.
Premise :
Language, communication, understanding. To connect with others is to be human. However, Almeda Regalia is crippled in that aspect. Language and communication seem to be completely incompatible with her brain. Although intelligent, it doesn't really matter as without language the universe she has to live within becomes incomprehensible. She could never hear anything explained or properly interface with others, she can only infer and blindly stumble with her interactions, as words are useless sounds and symbols.
However, a power inherent to her makes itself apparent on a random day... She finds a man who somehow understands and knows how to treat her right. But his condition begins to deteriorate, his reactions to her turn unusual. Through thought and analysis, she realized it's not mere understanding but a special ability she has in exchange for language : "Will Projection" . The truth of this power will come to be revealed, even as she drifts further and further from the rest of humanity.

So, that's the premise of what I'm cooking up. There's some other things I should also talk about.
Um, first off, there's a chance this just flat out doesn't happen.
Then, well, this is more to try to get in contact with people who would be interested and would "get" it. If you're interested, DM me. I'd suggest looking at some of my other posts to be sure you'd get it. A bit of a vetting process to let people "In" on the project.
I probably won't be posting much if any updates here. I might have to nuke this entire post if needed.
