I know that it won't me die but I wanna know.
When I start to feel my blood pressure extremely low, I eat something salty and rest. The only time I didn¡t have the time, I fainted (in one of the most important turistic places of my country, really crowded, so I got help in a matter of seconds). I want to know... What happens if I ignore the signs? I guess I'd faint. What if nobody finds me (I live alone right now). Of course, I wouldn't die, I would eventually wake up, I guess, but still...

Also, does this condition make me more sensitive to any method? I don't know, some substances could affect me more or act faster (or slower). For example, being in a hot tub affects me more and I can't resist more than ten minutes without starting to feel dizzy.

Could someone give me more information about that?

I have respiratory failure with hypoxia. My blood pressure was 79/40 at my doctor the other day.

Hypoxia can be very painful. Not an easy way to go. Breathing becomes painful. SI kicks in for me, and I reach for my oxygen.

I od'd. Was found. What I have found is it will take less to kill me. Do drugs interact differently? No. It will take less.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but I'm a physiology geek; you feel more dizzy In the shower because the hot water causes vasodilation causing your blood pressure to drop even lower. Eating more salt helps you retain water increasing blood plasma, which is why you feel better. As far as the condition making you more prone to certain methods, kind of, but not more than anyone else who could find a certain drug to lower their blood pressure enough to CTB (eg: an overdose of a blood thinner would lower blood pressure enough to essentially bleed out internally).

Isn't hypoxia how SN kills? I was told it's peaceful

Thank you. I have asthma, but I never thought that it would affect me in this case. As a matter of fact, if something happened, it would be a nightmare, the SI would probably "save" me but it would destroy me emotionally, it would be a traumatic experience.

That's interesting. My doctor always says that she doesn't understand how can I be standing, cause my blood pressure is so low... ANd that I have to take care because I could faint (I hadn't fainted yet when she told me this) and break some bones or something like that. It would be too lucky to just hit my head in the perfect spot and die, I'd never trust that, it's almost impossible and I'm everything but lucky, on the contrary (otherwise I wouldn't be here wanting to die).

What would happen if I ignore the signs and I don't eat or drink (anxiety gives me nausea and blood pressure drop too, so eating / drinking with both things combined is a challenge, I have to force myself to do it but now...) when needed?

I don't know what your blood pressure is but there really isn't defined number to diagnose low pressure. Some textbooks say 90/60, but it's really a blood pressure where people start to feel symptoms; so let's say a person normally runs at 120/80 and one day they are at 100/70 they may have physiological symptoms of "low blood pressure."
As a rule at the hospital I worked at we called a "rapid response" at 70/40.
If you ignored your symptoms you'd simply pass out as that's your bodies response to allow blood to return to the brain without having to fight against gravity (standing up)

Can't remember my level (it's been months since the last time I visited my doctor) but I know that it is in the 90/60 spectre, lowest points.
I only passed out once, but several times my consciousness dropped to minimum: I could see and hear, even understanding, but I couldn't communicate, nor move or focus. The people who saw me like that sometimes told me that my eyes were showing the white and I was even more pale than usual. It took a lot of salt to got me "back" but I was "awake" and knowing that something was happening, since I couldn't talk and I felt a big pressure on my head (can't even describe it, it was different to any physical sensation I've had before).
But that, these thengs and the faint happened always in presence of other people or, if I was alone, I wasn't so desperate to die, so my SI acted inmediately to get something salty ang got better, so I don't know how will it be if I didn't react...

I believe if you have low blood pressure, the SN method will work quicker to make you unconscious.

Interesting. The only thing that I don't like about SN is the fact that it is impossible make it look like a natural death, which is something very important to me. But... I keep getting more and more desperate. Lately I have had moments when I wanted to go out and just find a place to jump, without waiting more because the peaks of my situation lead me to that when my worst fears seem to come true... It used to be just my imagination fearing the worst, but what if this time is true? It's what I use to think in the moment. And if in moments like that I feel so desperate that I am tempted to act for an impulse and jump, well, maybe with this desperation I may end up accepting the SN method, regardless that it would be an obvious suicide, because I feel so hopeless that... So knowing that is interesting.Thank you.

How do you feel about SN in this case? As SN seems to be a kind of salt (I'm not very chemically literate), this would mean it would likely heighten blood pressure of OP?

SN is a vasodilator (it opens up the blood vessels), and so causes low BP even if you didn't have a low score to start with.

Sodium Nitrite converts hemoglobin to methemoglobin, which causes it to los its ability to bind and transport oxygen, so as your bodily systems are deprived of oxygen your blood pressure would lower even more

Low blood pressure often means higher heart rate. The higher heart rate should push your SN through you body faster.. I'd think.

Yes, anemia and low blood pressure makes me more susceptible to killing myself via many conventional methods. During attempts at hanging or choking, I pass out faster and sometimes have seizures - I didnt have them before.
And the ammount of alcohol and prescription drugs required to hurt me got significantly lower - I just had my first case of alcohol poisoning last month, and when I took 4 sleeping pills I fell asleep on the ground.

I will keep considering all this.
I can't kill myself right now because Christmas and my mother is depressed and all but... I wish I could die right now. I feel stupid and since I'm not gonna ave what I want and need, I don't wanna be alive. So I'll keep researching.
