Not likely to work. Would need to mix with a lot of opiates and alcohol and even then it's not guaranteed.

You have more chance dying from benzos going off them than taking too many of them. They can cause seizures if stopped abruptly.

do not fucking recommend this for anyone stupid enough to try. Benzo/alcohol withdrawal is one of the most horrifying/terrifying feelings possible. The other side of the coin of being physically tortured. Ive been through alcohol withdrawal, never ever again.

Just to clarify withdrawal from drug intensity depends on how much was taken. My worst alcohol wd was on 700ml-one litre a day 40% for a month.

I was forced to go cold turkey from a very high dose of Benzos two years ago, it's why I am here.

I made it through the horrific 'acute' phase, but I am very badly damaged, my body is very badly damaged.

Nobody involved in my 'care' had half a clue how to safely taper someone off such a high dose, nobody. They compared it to heroin and told me 'yes, you can do it, you can do it!' blah blah blah. No regard for how fucking dangerous it was, or how I lost every single thing in my life to the withdrawal, I can't live with it anymore. I am hoping to ctb once my husband goes back to work, if not this side of Christmas, then after.

Please nobody try this, it won't work and it will make your lives even worse than they are now.

I am going to back you up and believe you completely about this and you have my sympathies. V is why I'm here as well, a goof coworker gage me a couple of samples at work when I mentioned I was dealing with depression/anxiety. The rest of the story is a good Dr and controlling fiance.

Yes, benzos are not recommended. So are lots of things. People take this stuff because they are unable to cope otherwise. I recommend a healthy lifestyle with lots of vitamin c and high fibre and lots of exercise. I agree that doctors give out this stuff easily but what are they supposed to do apart from tell you to get your shit together and talk to a psychologist. Sure, they might get kickbacks from the drug companies but my experience is they start you out on the minimum dose possible and only increase it when you go back a month later wanting more, which is likely if it doesn't resolve a short term issue. Some people expect doctors to cure their lives for them. But sure, stay away from them if at all possible.

I mean how did you get off the alcohol and or benzos and stay off them. I'm assuming the reason you got addicted was because you thought that life was shit and that you don't have the same impression now.

I didnt. I just learned how to not drink too much. Im an alcoholic with control.

If you want advice on how to quit. You have to replace it with something else. Something positive. Its the only way.

I quit for a while and then the tinnitus hit. Its a long story.
