After examining diagrams - I can see that there are 3 types of caratoid: external carotid artery, internal carotid artery & common carotid artery. Can anyone of these being compressioned or 'occluded' as they say- 'work' ? Or is it a specific one? Thnks

A closed common carotid artery also simultaneously closes the other two. The ideal pressure point is the 'carotid bifurcation' where the common artery divides into interna and externa. This is also where the carotid sinus is located.

Read more about the carotid sinus and you will understand why. This is your ultimate sweet spot. If you hit that point hard enough, your lights will go out fast.
