I've turned a strip of fabric from one of my pillowcases and a metal spoon into a tourniquet around my neck, and testing seems to strongly indicate that it's an effective method, I could feel myself starting to pass out before I had to deliberately untie it. I'm wondering why more people don't use this method, partial hanging seems to be a common method here, but why not this? If you've considered hanging yourself, this seems like a very similar experience, but without so much risk of discovery or concerns that the rope or anchor will break. So far as I know, this is just as effective, has less risks and you can do it with household items without pain...why go for the hanging? Those of you who prefer SN, why do you prefer that over the tourniquet method?
