  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at admin@sanctioned-suicide.net.

Trio ctb pact from cliffs in Devon, UK.

Though an old story, it still fascinates me what.was going through their minds before they jumped 200 feet. I live near cliffs so im reminded of so many case since this case.

Two young men in their teens and one woman caught a taxi to the area before plunging to their deaths, together. They had previously known each other through a treatment center. I cant help but think this was a plan, you know a determined sequence of thoughts and events. A spokesman said this is rare.

but near to where I live couples have gone over, and one family that i learned of.

Its incredibly sad but also they must have been suffering terribly in so many ways.

People who jump fascinated me, I have acrophobia. Eventhough I live in 22nd floor, just to look down makes my hands sweaty. I couldn't imagine if there's a fire and I'm trapped inside that the only painless and quick way to escape is to jump rather than burnt.

I think that those who ctb by jumping must had been very desperate. It sounds like a terrifying method to me but I envy their courage to leave this life behind. Rest in peace

I remember reading about the family going together, it was sad.
I wish I had the determination to jump . I've come close so many times but can never encourage my brain to switch off SI.

There is a documentry called The Bridge about the Golden Gate Bridge and it shows people jumping. This one guy, in all black, simply stands on the rail and falls backwards off of it. He looks so peaceful and sure. I could never jump but i understand the allure. I always think of that guy and what was going through his head.

I remember seeing that, a slight envy tug of how calm he seemed to be

i recall the 9/11 video clips of people jumping instead of burning. Some 200 people could be seen plunging from 100+ floors. Did they choose this? They knew that death was inevitable at that hight. In my mind i have to accept that i am trapped in a burning body of illness. I think my choice to escape this has become easier. Incidentally, many people in one of towers did have an escape route. A documentary revealed a hidden fire escape that remained passable, but few knew about this....tragic

I'm always curious as to what everyone would choose in this situation.

Burning would be my worst type of death for sure - definitely would rather jump. Seems like a lot of folks made the same choice.

i recall a news story of this bridge. During the 80s and 90s, some young men with AIDS made the jump. Faced with an appalling death back then i could understand their decisions.

It's awful how life circumstances back people into the corner to do something drastic. To have AIDS and to have to choose the lesser of 2 evils. Just horrific. I guess that's what choosing suicide is- choosing the lesser of 2 evils. Doesn't make it easy though.

Yes very hard to do. AIDS would reduce the body to a gaunt existence, pain and little in the way of treatment.
