I've got just over 8grams of tramadol, no antisickness though and I'm not good at holding a lot of liquid so we shall see. But I was wondering what other people's experiences were. How much did you take and in what preparation? What did you take it with, if anything? And what can you remember from your experience?

Thanks for the info :)

Tramadol is not like other opioids. Doctors try to claim it is just as good but they are full of shit.

Overdose causes serotonin syndrome, which is very unpleasant.

Could not agree more. It is NOT as good as some others. Never has helped the pain I have with my illnesses. All it did was make me hyper. When I took it, felt like I had taken speed. I usually have the weird side effects

I hate taking it as a normal dose but all I've managed is 3.5g as I feel too nauseous to take more. I bought it ages ago thinking it would be as nice as codeine but it deffo isn't so I saved it for an ocerdose. It's done now so I'll just have to deal with the effects it causes.

Please do not OD on Tramadol.

Don't do it. You're going to regret it. It's a terrible and unreliable way to go

Hello how many pills did you take? Haven't heard from you hope your OK. Overdosing on pills usually is unsuccessful and hadn't worked for me yet. But curious how it went for you. Hope all went well

8 grams may very well have been a fatal dose. If it didn't cause respiratory depression and arrest, it may well have been enough to cause liver failure, which I really, really hope didn't happen. That's a protracted and miserable way to go.

Edit: On reading thru the threads, it looks like Suicat only took 3500 mg. I don't think that's enough to kill anyone, but I'm sure it's enough to render you unconscious for god knows how long. It would also most definitely cause seratonin syndrome, which is horrible.

Yes, Sera to in syndrome is horrible. I tried to od on any pills I had and celexa was one if them. So 8 grams is 3500 mg? I was going to get some tram but how many do you think would be fatal? Like 60 pills or more?

No. 1 gm = 1000 mg. Suicat stated the original intent was to ingest 8 gm, or 8000 mg. In a later post, he/she said they were only able to ingest 3500 mg secondary to nausea.

Like other members here, I would urge you not to OD on tramadol; it's unreliable and unpleasant.

And can I just pipe in again how important it is getting the right anti-emetics for any overdose attempt?

Unless of course you are just making a gesture (no judgment if there's no other way to get help or have people take you seriously) - then don't take an anti-emetic, take your pills, vomit, ask for help.

So Sorry to hear about your seizures. How scary. Did you attempt CBT with all of them?

No, it was an accident. I was just trying to get high, but I forgot that both amitriptyline and tramadol are serotinergic drugs. Serotonin syndrome can result in seizures, and was the only seizure I had in my life. I broke a half of a tooth and I fall, and my family takes me to hospital.
Is one more reason that I will hang myself out of home: beyond the impact on my family about my death, I know that I will convulse before die and my parents are very vigilant after my seizure, so they will hear any noise or beat or something.

I took 100 tramadol (I don't remember the dose) along with 30 ambien and lunesta. I didn't throw up, I went right to sleep because of the sleeping pills. Maybe I would have died but someone found me unfortunately.

50 mg Tramadol and 5 mg Ambien, I presume?

Wow 5000 mg tramadol seems like a lot and 60 sleeping pills. Did you go to the hospital? I hope your OK now. That is why overdose scares me because it usually always fails. So sorry. Do you think you'll try again?

Ok, so it must've been 5000 mg Tramadol and 150 mg Ambien, minimum. I assume they reversed it with Narcan. Do you know how long you were out? Do you have any recollection of when you were revived?

If you don't want to answer, I understand. Also, I'm typing in pink now.

@Kingkelly and @gingerplum

I OD'd and was found unresponsive about an hour later. My boss (I was in the Army at the time) had called to check on me that morning so I assumed I had plenty of time to pull it off, but someone else decided to check on me later in the day and when they couldn't reach me they came to my apartment. I don't remember any of this- it was quite the fiasco getting me to the hospital on base apparently- I was stationed in Korea living off post. I was in the medical care unit for two days and then in the psych ward for two weeks. I don't remember the first 4-5 days, other than me telling someone to "shut the hell up" and me ripping my IV out. Nobody told me anything about how I was revived or if what I had taken would have been enough to kill me with enough time. My liver got f-ed up and my memory is shit now but other than that I got "lucky" I suppose.

I definitely plan to CTB in the near future. I definitely will not do it by OD though. I tried to OD again a year ago by taking 60 Xanax and rum... once again was found unresponsive, I remember the cops putting me in their car and then waking up in the psych ward three days later. OD is just not reliable at all.

Wow what a horrible experience and for this I am sorry. The psych ward sounds not fun at all. Almost went there but am trying not to end up there. Yes od is unreliable unless you have like 100s of pills. What way will you try This time?

Sorry I didn't update, I've felt awful the past few days, took 4grams of immediate release, I wasn't sick and and I'm clearly too fat so it didn't work... Obviously as here I am! Though my oxy sats dropped nice and low to the point I got my hopes up in my drowsy drowsy state.
