Hey,

do you think decapitaioon by a train, like lying your head on the railsroads will be painful?

I know ctb by train is not the best option cause you are harming the drivers mental health, but my options are so limited

Physically probably not. Getting mentally prepared for this might require both some willpower and moral flexibility

It's not physically painful, but it would probably pretty painful psychologically to stay there waiting.

SI would be really difficult to overcome, plus there are other options such as SN, partial hanging etc.
You mentioned the impact it could have on the driver- please consider other options. I looked into the train method too and came across an article where a train driver had a mental breakdown after a suicide incident. I'd hate to cause that sort of pain to someone.

I imagine it would be relatively quick and painless. The impact of the train would likely kill instantly. It's a messy way to go though, as I'm sure you know. The mental impact on the driver would be a massive factor for me not to go down this route.

OP is not talking about jumping in front of a train but train decapitation, jumping in front of a train is a gamble since so many there are so many variables if you will survive whereas train decapitation is 100% fool proof I have I know people argue that no method is 100% foolproof but I have yet to see a train decapitation gone wrong it´s just like a guilotine but jumping in front of a train there are tons of failed suicide attempts and even videos on the internet of survivers cut in half.

I agree there are other options like partial hanging but nobody knows about the possible pain or discomfort about SN and as far as I know this site is the only place where I have ever encountered SN as a suicide method I have no doubt it will kill you but so will anti-freeze I just wouldn´t risk a possibly agonizing death because I trusted bro-science from this site especially when there are so many other methods with evidence of it´s quick and/or painless death e.g. train decapitation, firearm suicide, opiate overdose, suicide jump, partial hanging etc.

No I can't imagine drinking 50ml of N and euphorically falling asleep 2 minutes later to be as horrifying as going up to a train track at 4AM in the morning laying my head on the tracks waiting to be decapitated. Seriously how can anybidy have the guts to do such a thing?
I think many people wait for the train to approach and then run up to it from behind bushes or a bridge etc

I've heard modern trains have some kind of"guard" on their wheels to make ppl disabled instead of dead lol. Is it true? Our it's lethal anyway?

If there is any other way please consider. I dont think anyway is ideal but this in particular seems pretty horrific. Having lost someone close to suicide by train, all be it they did jump in front of a train, it just seems one of the most horrific ways to go

Anything of the mass of a train hitting you at 100km/h+ is guaranteed to kill you.
There won't be much of anything left to identify you with.

All methods are psychologically painful to some degree, but some are more so. Probably depends on the person as to what's worse, but for me, I just can't use a method that gives me a lot of time to think... always ends up with me thinking about my loved ones impending pain, and for me that's worse than any physical pain I've ever been through.

I doubt it. You get hit by a train, you are either dead or dismembered.

I must admit I've been drawn towards the idea of jumping in front of a train. But more specifically on a level crossing rather than on a track as I'm wary of being electrocuted instead (the irony!!). I've looked locally for level crossings but there doesn't seem to be many around. I realise it would take a lot of guts to overcome the SI and I've stood close to tracks when trains pass and it's a frightening thought to physically place yourself in front of one of those huge things but I also know it would do the trick and be pretty much instant. It's funny how we are drawn towards certain methods and not others.

I'd try to get my head under the wheels once the front already passed if for no other reason than to save the diver some anguish

impossible, unless you move faster than the train

Here is my opinion on train suicides. Please do give it some consideration.

LOL, I think they meant get their head under the wheels that are further back then the front ones. Not having the train engine pass them and then running faster than the train itself to catch up with the front wheels again :ahhha:

Either way, I'm having visions of a Looney Toons scenario!

exactly. If you don't move faster than the train and you try to get your head under the wheels, the wheels will hit you before your head is completely under them and you will get bounced back with a bad injury.
Less irony, more physics

Oh OK yep, I mistook your comment for the more hilarious interpretation.

As you say, trying to thrust your head under wheels other than the first set would definitely require a lot of speed to get it properly in place rather than just deflected away.
