I was tracking a train on a certain website and was sure that it wasn't supposed to stop at said station, I pre booked the taxi to the station in advance to get there atleast 5 minutes before the train is due to pass through the station, the station itself is very small, a single island with a track either side, I arrive at the station, tipping the taxi driver generously the fare was £5 something I gave him a £20 note and told him keep the change, i jump out the taxi and cross a little bridge thing and head down the stairs to the platform, as I stood on the platform I hear the rumbling of the incoming train but ahead of schedule?? I look around and see the lights of the train but couldn't tell which side of the platform it was passing, I heard the breaks slam on maybe the driver must have seen me or something and I just watched as the train screeched to a hault far passed the end of the platform even though the train was never destined to stop at the station, did they see me and hit the breaks as a precaution? Should I get there earlier next time and run down the tracks towards the train? I know it's not an ideal reason but I am so tired of running around in circles this is my only way out

This is an entirely unethical method, IMO.

You're guaranteed to traumatize multiple people, you could also injure or kill multiple innocent people if the train derails.

A method that can traumatize or kill others is never your only option. Hanging can be done with items found in your own house; ligature strangulation can be done with shoelaces, string, cable ties; drowning can be done in a bathtub with shallow water blackout; etc.

It's not your problem at that point

Do you have children? Trauma is an unavoidable consequence of life and if someone chooses a said career path where possible trauma is an outcome it's on them, shit don't join the army if you don't wanna get shot at, don't become a train driver and not expect the possibility of someone jumping in front of your train

It's possible that remote stations don't have scheduled stops, rather they use something called "flag fall" or something like that to notify the engineer to stop for a passenger.
Since you were on the platform, the engineer likely thought you hadn't activated the signal for them to stop, and tried to brake so you could board.

Check your local rail authority to see... I've been at enough remote spots where trains don't stop unless they're signaled to.

I am vehemently against any suicide method which puts the mental wellness or physical well-being of innocent strangers at risk. There's thousands of methods out there that I support. I am not pro-life.

I've made dozens of failed attempts before finding this website and getting accurate information. Now that I have that information, I'm waiting for when the time feels right. Which it hasn't yet, so I haven't used my method--which will be ligature strangulation with a shoelace, one of the methods I mentioned earlier.

I won't be pushed into killing myself any earlier than I intend to.

Despite it traumatizing people, I would say its okay to use this method if you find it preferable and especially as you have tried other methods as I would say its the lesser evil of you have to contiue to suffer into this life you were forced into. I can't use other methods like hanging as my low pain tolerance will make me back out of it so I need a method where I can't back out of or is of low pain. SN can be hard to get for some people, guns are not accessible for a lot of countries and people may not have access to high places to jump so train is one of the only accessible methods that you can't back out of. I would prefer to use SN or jumping but can't cus I am trapped by family.

The main people that should be blamed for people having to resort to methods like this are pro-lifers and them trying to stop the access of peaceful methods, not you.

Not only that, but my father survived being [accidentally, not a suicide attempt] run over by a train. He had a collapsed lung and a broken thumb and was released from the hospital two days later.

I'd consider myself overpaid because I can afford multiple homes, nice vacations with fist class airfare and luxury hotels, luxury cars, dining at the best restaurants, and a million other perks. I don't see how railroad operator fall into even remotely the same income class.

How do you feel about the person to find you after you have attempted/completed? In that moment of desperation you don't give a fuck because after all you'll be dead, and if you think a shoelace is gonna be your ticket out you may wanna do some more research, im sorry for your father and your condition i just do not appreciate the condensing and disrespectful tone, as a member on this site you should know how helpless it feels to be desperate for a way out, I came on here to vent and all youve done is patronise me like why the fuck are you even on here? That's unavoidable in any method, and will be a similar level of trauma to anyone finding a naturally deceased person. It's also not the same as the trauma inflicted on someone who was physically involved in ending another's life.

My landlady found one of my roommates dead of natural causes years ago. It almost got her hospitalized in a psychotic break and nearly 5 years later, she still won't go into the room he stayed in. She freaked out so badly upon finding him that I forced her out of the house and was the one to call 911, handle the authorities who showed up, the coroner, etc. I have no lasting effects from the experience.

Dude I am so sorry you had to go through that I don't mean to go off on you like that I had a similar experience my life long friend died from SADS in a bnb and I slept in the same room not even a year later I don't want to traumatise or hurt anyone else in anyway i just want this to all be over im mentally unwell betrayed by people you could never imagine, seen some serious shit watched my best friend die at 14 years old life is precious and pointless at the same time ive just had enough

Not a good method. It's unfair on the driver who will probably be traumatised for life and blame himself even though it wasn't his fault. He'll always wonder if he could've put the breaks on earlier. It also would have lower mortality rate than other methods. If the driver sees you in time and slams the brakes, less speed means lower mortality rate and you could end up in a worse situation than before and completely unable to CTB.

When it comes to your own choice of method you know the aftermath is unavoidable for whoever may find you, a person doesn't have to be physically responsible for causing someone's death, just like your land lady unfortunately sometimes you put yourself into a position where you just don't know, if she had knocked the door at a certain time would that of happened? She didn't know when she wasn't looking what's the difference with the driver? Don't join the army if you don't want to get shot at, don't join the fire service if you don't wanna get burned, don't become a train driver and not expect someone desperate to jump infront of your train it's the same shit

No need to be rude. We are all struggling and just want to help. I'm sorry you have been through trauma and failed to CTB, but you could potentially ruin other people's lives and make them feel the way you're feeling now. Not to mention this is a low success method.
