Part of my reason for wanting to ctb is a feeling of perpetual exhaustion. I wake up wanting to sleep and then spend the whole day drained, I don't remember when I didn't feel like this.
I have the same feeling, it's depression slowly dragging you down. It gets only worse if you don't do something about itPart of my reason for wanting to ctb is a feeling of perpetual exhaustion. Brother I feel your pain to my bones.Part of my reason for wanting to ctb is a feeling of perpetual exhaustion. I wake up wanting to sleep and then spend the whole day drained, I don't remember when I didn't feel like this.
I wonder if I'm just tired of life and it manifests physically with a depleted thyroid.
I also have an underactive thyriod. Have you tried upping the dosage at all? It can be a really trial and error process getting your levels up where they should be. I would have to take a dose for 2-3 weeks, then get my blood checked again, adjust from there 2-3 more weeks, check again...until we got it fine tuned. It can take some time and occasionally can be frustrating as hell, but its something that from a scientific perspective, and my anecdotal experience, is worth a shot. It can make a major difference in mood and energy if you can get the levels normal..For me I have under-active thyroid which I was told that's why I feel that way. The doc said I had almost zero thyroid hormone at that time. I'm supposed to take medication daily but I only take once a month because somehow I don't always feel any better on it. Very relatableThere is no cure for a tired soul. The body then follows after the mind.
Underactive thyroid was one of the triggers for my depression at 11 (I developed early). Nowadays I have normal thyroid levels but I have done some reasearch and turns out that having it untreated for many years causes permanent damage in serotonin receptors. But the psychiatrists won't tell you that, nor most doctors. It really fucked me up when I found out. That's why some people are still depressed even when taking thyroid hormone. I have gone 8 years without treating it.For me I have under-active thyroid which I was told that's why I feel that way. The doc said I had almost zero thyroid hormone at that time. doesn't surprise me with docs getting things wrong. I didn't know it could affect serotonin so much but it affects a lot. I actually barely take levothyroxine for it, maybe once every 2 weeks ill take when i feel super drowsy. I don't know if I should be taking everyday again. i don't take it because my thyroid levels are better now, but the damage is done. i did take some years ago but not for long. and yeah the thyroid affects pretty much the whole body. low thyroid can even cause brain inflammation, like no shit. the brain fog is also no joke.doesn't surprise me with docs getting things wrong. Yeah I've had the brainfog for as long as I remember and my sleep patterns always messed up. I think I have to get levels checked out again, seems counterproductive sometimes when you want to die so much. They will tell me to take the med everyday but when I did do that I started feeling worse. Only once they asked me to fast first before blood checking, other times they didn't even ask me to fast so I don't see how it's always going to be a complete reading.
