I told my bf about sasu yesterday. I didn't tell him I'm actively thinking about ctb and that I use sasu to learn about methods, I just told him that I'm in a suicide forum and chat that is pro choice. He took it fine at first but then got anxious about it and started crying, he later said he is glad I'm being honest tho. I told him ive bee feeling better since I joined (which is true) and he gave importance to that.

I just really wish he would respect my desire to ctb and give eachother company during my final moments and then give each other proper goodbyes

That must have been tough, I can't imagine sharing this place with anybody in real life.

"I've signed up to a suicide forum"
"What the hell, Why?"
"I'm not suicidal"
"Oh ok, but still, Why?"
"I have a cat wrapped in a towel as my avatar"
"Oh ok that's fine"

Seriously though, I don't think I'd tell anyone and at 51 years old not many people would think it's not a fully considered decision anyway but here in the UK teh health service is in such a mess they can't afford to admit everyone who is suicidal. Going by some forums for doctors, they'd be admitting most of the healthcare staff anyway, if they just admitted anybody for feeling suicidal..

UK & 50s too.

I haven't discussed suicide with anybody in real life either.

Nopylopy! There is no reason in doing that, and no reason to burden others with it, unless the motivation behind is to getting help and being seen! (which is off course very legit)! But thats just my opinion. Good luck! :)

Oh no, he knows I'm suicidal. I tried to ctb recently, he found me and took me to the hospital.

I just told him I needed to talk with ppl in the same situation like mine and he got scared but understood.

He respects my decision not to go the psych ward.

Personally I think that was a mistake, I never understand why people tell others about their CTB plans or thoughts.

Nothing good can come of it and it often brings a whole world of problems.
