have you even made sure if that religion whatever its is actually from the creator(god) himself?
if not then do it, follow the religion in depth study everything on it, listen to atheists and religious people alike and decide who is making sense and who is manipulating words and making excuses for his weak contradicting beliefs that makes no sense
after you perform this you will realize that those threats of hell have no basis and are nothing to fear and there is no punishment for what those religions has declared to be a "sin" because whats taught by a fake shit is bound to be a fake shit
hell is a fantasy that has zero evidence only existing in religious books to control people by making a punishment for not following them
the logic of religions oppression to self killing is itself ridiculous because they permit and give rewards for killing infidels and killing yourself while doing so but they would try to make excuse for this by saying that they are fighting for god for the good but what god is that who created all this universe with all of its secrets and created us and created all sorts of stuffs on earth and is capable of doing whatever he wants that needs us to kill each others in his name whatever the reason for this is?
we just need to open our minds to see how completely senseless are those religions(control systems) but there are those who benefit by promoting them and keeping the people deluded and ignorant of this
please make a forum section dedicated for these important cases so they are visible to everyone and especially this case as many are suffering because of it including myself previously

it has not been hard to me to write this i already teach muslims their own religion everyday ,so it took less then 10mins i already have done and still doing too much studies over islam and its teachings, did not go so deep in christianity tho instead of studying all of it since and especially since there are too many branches of it teaching different stuffs from the same religion derived from the same books so i just searched for a evidence the religion is actually from our creator but found none so far then searched for its contradictions and i found that earth is flat so i didnt care about it anymore
but guess what im going to hell for writing these stuff anyways

ALL organized religions are about 1) money 2) money...nothing else. Now faith, in whatever form one has, like..etc...can be a comfort for some or alot..etc.. I do and I don't believe in hell. Hell itself is not mentioned in the Bible. However what I understand to be hell is not a physical place, but actually an eternity without God (hence, eternally dead rather than going into the afterlife). So, in my view, hell is a state of being rather than a place you'll physically end up.

You present many points, I'll try to address in part.
I didn't inherit my religion from my parents, my parents are not Christians. My religion causes conflict in my family, but I'm not just blindly following whatever faith takes my fancy. I do my research and I allow the Bible and God to speak for themselves, and I have reached the conclusion I've reached.

I can't say that I'm tormented by hell in the way you describe. I want to do good because that's what God and society wants of me, sometimes we fall short of that mark (and call it sin). No sin is greater than another sin, and so while ctb'ing is a sin (as it falls short of expectation) I personally am not terrified of going to hell if/when I act on my plans, and it troubles me that others genuinely believe they will burn in a firey inferno for eternity for ctb.

It's not for everybody, some people have faith but no religion; some have religion but no faith. Everyone's journey is different, some people are happy just to ride the stream, while some need to pick apart different elements of faith.

It's was makes each of us different.

However, I was raised up Christian, and even though I don't believe in God anymore, the church embedded so much fear in me that I can't help but thinking what-if.

Truth is that we never truly know, but if it's real, I'm going to hell whether I kill myself or not and The messed up part is that I probably deserve it.
