To die or not to die that is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of trouble.

So a little bit about myself. I have been living in the US for the last 15 years. My family applied and was approved for a green card back in 2012. However, due to the massive backlog I turned 21 and I am no longer eligible for that green card and have to apply on my own. Applying now would take me 15+ years to get a green card (according to my immigration lawyer). In any case, I have done elementary through HS here in the US and now attending college as an international student. We have a house, friends, basically my entire life is here. For the past few years I have been suffering from depression and anxiety from the realization that I am legally fucked and would eventually be kicked out of the US. My grades tanked hard and I am not going to be grading because of a single class related to my major that I am failing. I can't retake the class because my visa expires in 4 days, and this is my last semester here. After which I have a 60 day grace period and then I can't legally stay here unless I spend a large amount of money to buy a green card or get married. I am at the end of my ropes, figuratively and literally. My family has spend so much time and money to get past the immigration hell but it just amounted to nothing. I feel like shit for letting them down with my school, and I want to end this.

I don't access to SN or know any places to jump from. I want to do either the Korean Method or Partial/Full suspension. I found this helpful video from the peaceful handbook. Anyone know how effective the Korean Method is and which would be less painful?

it's impossible for me to know exactly how you feel, but you are obviously under pressure. If you are 100 % sure that you can't change your situation and that it will become unbearable, then it's perhaps time for you to go. However, if you aren't 100 % sure, I think you should take the time to think this through and not make a rash decision. I can understand that you don't want to disappoint your parents, but they are your parents and I'm sure they prefer a son who did his best but had to return to a son who's dead. If you have to return to your original home country, is it really such a disaster? Perhaps you can bide your time and save money? The USA won't disappear in the meantime.

I'm sorry you're under so much pressure! Man it takes that long to get citizenship in the America? I'm from here so I don't know anything about that. That's crazy. Where are you from originally?
