I'm in my thirties and think of short form media and echo chambers as a disaster. It's a move towards less information and stronger opinions - a toxic combination, historically seen in religious movements.
I'm an extremist when it comes to free speech, and fully support their right to express themselves. I'm however very worried when influencers have more influence than superintelligent people whom dedicated their life to a subject.
It's like competence and experience no longer matter.
It's obvious to me, that echo chambers of depression are harmful. I fail to see any value in trying to make depression or depressive thought patterns viral.
The medium is much better suited for distributing funny cat videos.
To get back on topic:
No hard feelings towards the average user, but a major concern over the trend.
