Method Thoughts on my poetic method?

Hello, I am a new member in this website! This community seems to be really frowned upon, but I am hopeful it's not as bad as everyone says it is.

Either way, I wanted to ask a couple of questions about a method I've been romanticizing.

Is a shotgun blast towards your heart an exceptionally flawed or decent enough way? Is there a need to have a sawed off for it if you have long arms? Could any type of shotgun shells be used?

I was thinking about it, because I wouldn't really like my face to be disintegrated in such a gruesome fashion.

I also find it to be reeeeally poetic to go for the heart, which is symbol of life and love, considering I suck at love relationships and I don't really value my life that much. Also I think in some religions your heart symbolises your soul, which I find pretty funny.

It is nice you know how you want to CTB. You seem rather keen om doing that particular method. However, shooting to the heart is...painful. You will bleed to death or your heart will cease functioning. Perhaps you can try another method or shoot somewhere else.

I get what you're saying! But y'know, everything is just subjective ^^

A shotgun blast to the chest will be fatal, but I don't think that it would be instant. People who are executed by firing squad are shot in the heart, but they don't always die immediately.

Kurt Cobain killed himself by putting the shotgun in his mouth. That, I think, would be fatal immediately.

If only it was like in the movies where you get shot anywhere and fall down unconscious immediately

i guess it depends how one hits the heart. but a shot right through it should probably (i'm not a doctor) stop blood flow immediately and hence would lead to unconsciousness very fast. similar to methods compressing the carotid arteries in your neck.

shooting in one's mouth wouldn't mess with the face, i would assume

Sounds painful. Maybe the pain makes it poetic? I certainly like the idea of this method. I apologize if I sound edgy but I always liked thinking about dying in a pool of blood all by myself in the middle of nowhere so I think we have something in common lol

I don't know much about shotguns or guns in geneal but I do know that shooting yourself in the heart isn't as easy or as simple as it seems. I know someone who tried this exact method but because of the odd angle of how he had to hold his gun to get to his heart, he missed his heart and survived his attempt.

If your wanting a quick and relatively painless death, aim for your head. Your brain is what is really responsible for keeping you alive as all the heart does is pump oxygenated and non-oxygenated blood everywhere to keep your organs working. If you shoot and manage to damage your brain enough, it'll be the end immediately while for the heart you will have a brief period where your still alive before your brain shuts down from lack If oxygen although it shouldnt take long i imagine before you black out. The one problem is you won't get to have an open casket funeral as your face will likely not be in a very pretty condition afterwards.

But if your wanting people to understand the symbolism of your attempt I'd suggest you write it in a suicide note because after your gone I don't think anyone be focusing much on any symbolism.
