at first i was rambling on and on and eventually it turned into me not realising where i was even going with it so i'll just leave it an open discussion. i might not respond but it's just a curious topic to me.

those who are transitioning gender, or are nonbinary, or really anything out of the norm gender wise, what are your thoughts on gender as a whole ?
i've been questioning if i really feel like a woman or if i'm moreso nonbinary lately, but then it started becoming "why can't i just be me why do i have to be anything ?" like really why do i have to have a label at all, why can't i just exist as i am. i don't know it's a real mindfuck, maybe i'm just having one of those moments.

Gender seems like a pretty terrible invention to me. A great excuse for violence, prejudice, division, and some quite tumorous taxonomising. I get that it's important to some people (for reasons varying in validity and constructiveness), but I really just long for the day when it all dissolves away. As long as we're all so tied up in our biological chassis, we'll never break out of its pigeonholing (although we can and certainly must still redefine what the pigeonholing entails for us pigeons!), but as we extract ourselves from the material world I do so hope our chances of true escape improve. Perhaps one day wearing a human body will just have the self-conscious theatricality of drag, and mean all but nothing about our personality or inner life.

Aimless utopic 2 cents.

not transitioning or anything. i completely agree with you. for me its personally i want to know what/who i am. which makes sense considering bpd comes with identity issues. i kind of feel like you if im understanding correctly. if you ask me im female but i feel like nothing although nonbi doesnt really feel it either.

Our fellings are 100% real and we are what we are, our identities shouldn't be defined by words. The problem is language, and that's what we should discuss

One of the better questions I've heard is If the world pretty much ended (civilisatoin collapse) and you're somehow the last person alive. No one around to judge you. And you come across a bunker filled with multiple lifetimes supply of hrt whether estradiol or testosterone (depending on the gender you're transitioning too). Would you still take it even though there is no one else around?

I think its a form of control, and it keeps people in their place. It's easier to target and stereotype a group when they're simplified into labels, if that makes sense.
