• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Personally, i don't think anything different happens be it CTB or not. I'm not religious, i do have some beliefs of my own, but at the end of the day nobody really knows what happens.

I think your dad is yanking your chain. He has no proof, or scientific evidence that it has ever happened. You can not know that you had a life before this one, it's never been proven.

I have never seen an interview with a disfigured person claiming he or she committed suicide in their past life, and this is their punishment.

I think he's trying to talk you out of suicide by trying a scare tactic.

We're just arrangements of atoms, running biochemical processes like machines. Whether those atoms ever come together again in a way that creates "you" is unknown. The universe has reshuffled matter for billions of years—maybe it could happen again, but the odds seem astronomically low.

And yeah, the real mystery is how consciousness emerged in the first place. If it happened once, who's to say it can't happen again? But whether it would be "you" or just another conscious being is another question entirely.

I wouldn't think so, bearing in mind that God (according to the Tenach) was heard by Yahweh, who granted him a restoration of his amazing strength specifically to commit both suicide and mass murder.
And, in the Christian New Covenant scriptures in Hebrews 11 Samson is mentioned in the "Hall of Fame" of Godly heroes.

Human beings and other species are not machines and how our body function is completely out of a mecanical process, it is something mysterious. A structural intelligence act behind nature, it can not be reduct to cause and effect. Machines are the construction of the human and act in a determinist way. Nature is infinitely more complex. To propagate the idea that we are machines is very dangerous for everyone as it changes our decisions and behaviour in a larger scale wich harm us, for example in the way we do medicine.

No one really knows what happens. But I believe when you're ready and you do actually succeed... then it was your time to go. Maybe we all just return... like waves in an ocean.

Severe disability, congenital chronic diseases, poverty, burning in hell - these are all just the most diverse ways to turn people away from CTB and stay here.

I'm personally a very scientific person and that's why I believe that consciousness doesn't exist. We are organic formations reacting to inputs based on prior inputs which we have saved to our brain. Once the body dies the "you" vanishes. There is nothing, just like there was nothing before you were born. It can be quite uncomfortable to believe that, but that is the most likely the truth, based on thousands of years of research and logical reasoning. It would be nice if we went to a great place or where reborn as a different thing, but nothing logical suggests that.

I believe death to simply be non-existence, nothing more than an eternal dreamless sleep where all is finally gone and forgotten and to never exist ever again really is all I hope for, all I wish for is peace from the torturous and futile burden of existence. I'd always prefer to not exist than suffer all for the sake of it just waiting to die anyway, non-existence is all that's positive for me, I'd be so relieved to never suffer in this existence that always felt like a terrible, tragic mistake to me ever again.

A machine is typically defined as a system that processes inputs to produce outputs, following physical laws. Living organisms, including humans, function based on biochemical processes, which involve cause-and-effect mechanisms like metabolism, neural signaling, and genetic replication. While these processes are vastly more complex than human-made machines, they still follow deterministic physical and chemical laws at the fundamental level.

Even emotions and consciousness arise from neural activity, which can be studied scientifically. While we don't yet fully understand consciousness, that doesn't mean it exists outside of physical laws. Complexity does not imply an external guiding force—it just means we haven't mapped out every detail yet.

Personally I don't believe in the afterlife at all. I think we return to nothing, I don't think there's way to describe it. Just no pain, no bad memories, no thoughts, no awareness, no nothing. Your Dad's probably trying to scare you out of attempting, that's not evil on his part but I don't think we should be dictated by fear about what could possibly happen in the afterlife/next life when no one has proof it even exists... I always tell myself that even If I regret it while I'm dying from my attempt, I won't once I'm dead. There's no regret when your dead, you're just dead. Everything important happens when your alive, I know the philosophy here is that it's your choice--your right but I think we owe something to the living, as shitty as they can be, to go out peacefully and ease their trauma with a non-messy death scene and maybe a few notes saying it wasn't their fault.
