Discussion those who are ctb very soon: what will you miss out on

when i ctb tonight i will be giving up
-a party on saturday with a bunch of friends
-halloween
-thanksgiving, which i look foreword to every year
-my birthday
-christmas, my favorite holiday
-cuddling with my boyfriend for the last time
-watching the greatest showman for the first time with one of my friends

this isn't going to stop me, i don't see these things as outweighing the pain of life, it's just a little bit sad to think that i will never see those things

Not a whole lot, to be honest. Maybe visiting my dad one more time, once this whole lockdown thing is over. I don't see that happening any time soon. There's not really anything else I'm looking forward to or would miss at this point.

Why not CTB while cuddling with your BF? Might be difficult depending on the method though. He could suspect something if you are wearing a diving mask for instance. But a bit of mild vomiting might go unnoticed.

I know that feeling! That's been something that has made life almost bearable in the past, when I had a cat.

I really can't believe there's anything I'd even assume I missed out on. My fiance (from here) recently passed by accident and that was pretty much the last straw for me. So, even if I'm missing out on "something", I couldn't care less.

All I want is to die in peace.

True there is the trauma factor.

I will miss stuff too. I like cycling. I'm sure there will be many good movies / books that I won't get to read. It would be nice to travel again after the pandemic.
I agree life is a balance between pain and pleasure. For me right now the pain side is just way to much to bear and pleasurable things few and far between, but still there.
But if the balance were to shift then CTB becomes less attractive.

I don't understand; if you feel that you have a lot to look forward to over the next couple of months, why do you feel like you need to do it tonight? Why not wait -- you won't get another chance to experience any of these things you seem to want to experience. I'm not judging your situation, just trying to understand.

Actually one thing I'd been waiting 30+ years for and I thought would never arrive finally did! It's been keeping me around a little longer than I'd planned LOL

But I'll miss my family, my wife, my cat, music and all the new tech that will come out after I'm gone :(
