Okay, so I set up my noose in my closet, bought a bottle of whiskey, got a knife and took out all of the money from the bank that I subtly gave to my little brother. I want to know if this is enough, I'm currently getting drunk, then I plan on sliting my wrist then doing the hanging just to make sure I don't make through this. Do you guys think this is enough, is there anything else I can do to make sure I don't survive this one?

Don't slit your wrists! That will not help you ctb. And scare the people who will find you. Just hanging is enough, if you have it correctly set up.

When hanging, two things are more important than anything else.

Quality of the rope and your determination to die. If you have both you are guaranteed to die.

Tyuiop is correct: Do not slit your wrists. It is an ineffective method without signifcant supplementary factors. It won't help you ctb and will only serve to traumatize those who find your body.

Sinbad is also right: You need good rope and serious determination.

Safe travels, Jacksalltrades.

You need a good rope, like others have said...and also test that where you are hanging from can hold you for an extended period of time. Don't do the wrists. Pointless.

Slitting wrists has a reputation of being a cry for help for a reason - it doesn't work!

I highly discourage the use of cutting as a method since it has a very low success rate and it's always really painful. Also, yes, depending on the quality of the rope (sturdy and good quality) and sheer willpower (courage and determination) over the survival instinct, you have a fairly high success rate.

Ive self harmed by cutting for nearly 40 years and have almost bled to death many times. Cutting your wrists will not work and will be extremely unpleasant. If you fancy hacking through major tendons and ligaments not to mention nerves then go ahead but you will only be able to do it to one wrist. It will hurt like a bastard. And it won't kill you. If you want to bleed to death research a better method but I do not recommend it at all. Apart from the pain which will be intense and will radiate throughout your arm ( remember the nerves i mentioned? ),Seeing, feeling, smelling and hearing your blood pouring out of your body will cause a primal panic that will be terrible to experience.

when I was like 15 yo I was stupid enough to think I could die cutting myself... it's possible, but you need to stab yourself a lot to reach death, I can't imagine anyone doing this... and the scars still with me today

Is thrre a way by losing blood? I wsnted tonput a needle in an artery but given how deep they are I dontbthink my needle phobia and pain tolance would cope

Arteries are very deep in the body, you would need to stab/cut the artery preferably with a vertical cut. People can bleed to death and very quickly, what I'm saying is that slitting the wrists is not the way to achieve that and that people will be unprepared for the outcome. Bleeding to death is not an easy way to go.

I'm just going to piggy back on what they say, but don't cut your wrist, it's just more pain in yourself and everyone else.

Good luck, see you on the other side. Hope you make it.

If you are wanting to split something to ensure you cannot get out of the noose if it is a partial hanging and you are looking for some pain get a scalpel and cut your achille's tendons (back of leg above your heel). Or find another way to disable them, numbing by injection or blocking nerve signals. You won't be able to stand and thus won't be able to back track.

I have seen someone who had done this on a partial before. Takes a lot of will and determunation.

I think if you cut down your arms instead of across better chance of death. Across arms is a cry for help ive cut across many times before like 8 to 10 years ago and scars they leave are forever not to painful i was actually considering slitting my throat and arm for sure way of CTB i also live by myself so would not be found for awhile it may be painful but in end who cares. You have wonder how painful all other methods are and outcomes, if they all go straight to death or you end up waking up in a hospital bed. Also i concidered tourniquet method seems fair easy no blood loss, all depends on how much you want to die and how far you are willing to go achieve this goal. I do not want to leave any room for failure this time around and I still have to decide on a date. Good luck on your journey and travels hope it all works out for you brother see you on the other side one day
