but no one wants to think of it as a cycle or your treasured human connections start to lose their lustre, we must maintain the belief that they r special at all costs because if we cannot connect with our fellow man (and women..) there is not muchhh of a point 2 life
every time you meet someone new, with a heart freshly broken from the last, it's all a performance partially bc you dont want to get hurt again and partially because everything feels fake compared to what you had before
and most of the time that's as far as it goes. the bar for what feels like a REAL human connection, a movie-like magic spark gets higher every time because what u previously thought was the relationship to end all relationships turned out to be a trainwreck and you start to realize your brain lies to you and the love chemicals are simply fake. but nonetheless, maybe out of the indomitable human spirit or maybe simply because it's what we are programmed for, you love again. and you hurt again, worse than last time, worse than ever before
who are we doing this for?

I feel like this world is a lampoon or a mockery of a perfect place. It draws you in with surface level beauty, to attach you, but anyone who's suffered can see the rotten core.

This is why even the best of relationships are all fraught with peril. It's just really not worth it imo.

i'm not doing that again lol. i guess my resilience is done for because i can't see past a life altering heartbreak. that doesn't mean every moment of everyday is felt feeling sorry for myself, just aware of what really is. i don't feel weaker for it either like people would suggest. why is anyone who holds off on new connection seen as broken? some people really know what they had and won't lie to themselves that it's out there to experience again and again. half of what makes a great relationship is yourself, i think people forget that when they're idolizing the other half and stuck in that cycle of attachment like you said.
