this is a pointless question but was curious. what is the difference between these 2 chat functions? they both send a message i believe but I do have some messages in one section from ppl that the other chat section doesn't have. that confused me.

A chat is more like a live chat where sending messages is instantaneous and a conservation is a private messaging system that operates more like posting on the forum does.
