without getting super specific, i work in science. last night a lot of leadership in the NIH were fired including the head of the institute that funds my whole lab. and my boss basically said he does not think science will ever recover in our lifetimes from this administration. i love this job SO much. im not going to get fired; im lucky in that regard. but i won't be able to get a job when im finished here. i won't be able to make a difference in the world. i will not ever be able to practice science unless i leave the country and my loved ones. and science isn't the same outside of the USA, we were the world leader in it before this... i would have to move to east asia basically. i don't know, im tired. all of the conservative headlines are like "it's our time to prosper!!!!" and it feels like a slap in the face because there will be no prosperity for me.
