Could someone tell me what is the best type of SN to buy? I was looking at some websites and I saw that there are some types that are used for food, and there is also a "purity level" whose concentration I assume should be as high as possible for it to have the desired effect. Thanks.

Yes, I believe this person is correct. There's a nitrite test (searching on the forum should bring some of this up) and a blood test by seeing if it turns your blood brown.
