is there any reliable way to test it? To make sure for certain it is real? What's the worst that would happen if it's not?

Any insight much appreciated.

SN is not a peaceful method. I have firsthand account of people surviving it and others suffering greatly for hours before they passed. Please reconsider.

I get the impression, you dont die as quick as the recommendations make out.

Maybe benzo's could take care of that though.

Benzos can knock you out for sure but for how long? If one is in severe pain, seizures and extreme nausea, you would invariably wake up or at least be semi-conscious. There is one case I heard that it took more than 18 hrs for the guy to die ( he was rushed to the hosp after ingestion 12 hours prior and they tried to revive him for 6 hours but it was too late)

Wow, thats probably the longest ive heard someone to die from SN.

Its a shame there are so many inconsistencies with how long it takes to die from SN.

I wonder if the person didnt eat for 8 hours prior and took the antiemetics etc.

This is going to be my method but im starting to doubt it.

I'm not a chemist, so I don't know if there is an easy way to test... perhaps it would involve titration? My thinking was that purchasing pure sn from a reputable seller should bypass this issue. It is unlikely to be something other than sn; more likely to be a diluted product (i.e., with pure salt, especially if you have purchased it for "curing meats"), if anything. So, the worse that could happen is that you don't take enough?

I don't know the exact details re anti-emetics etc. But from what I heard, the average time to death is around 3-6 hrs.

I am more inclined to put my faith in Dr Nitschke and scientifically published case studies than anecdotal cases from the internet.

I have no idea what sodium hydroxide would do to one's body but i can say definitely say that SN is not a peaceful and/or reliable method as claimed by the PPH.

Well, it's your choice. You don't have to believe me, you can google and see the medical literature re deaths via SN. As to the PPH, they have no idea how sn works, first they say add bicarbonate, then they took it out and keep on changing the requisite dosage. They weren't even sure whether a long acting benzo should be taken. It's been scientifically proven that long acting benzo could not reverse the damage done by sn ( again, you can google it and see the paper on that). I would hope that you could reconsider and wish you the best of luck and a peaceful exit whatevr method you choose.

What's it like? And how did you manage to survive?
I've only just consumed it at the moment nothing but I do have this strange feeling like my head is not attached to my body

That's odd. Isn't that a corrosive compound that would burn you skin, GI tract and stomach?

I'm kind of past caring if it's peaceful now, even if it's painful or takes a long time it will be worth it. Can't be any worse than the pain I'm in now.

Why I want it to kill me unless your hiding something

I respect your decision but it looks like you have taken something which could not achieve your ultimate goal. Instead, you may have caused damage to your organs which would make life worse for you. It's in your interest to have it checked out and have your stomach pumped if what you took was adverse to your health whilst not being lethal enough to cause death.

I feel on that. Peaceful would still be nice but I'm not concerned about a pain factor. I'm not some tough badass at all, but I'll take the pain as my ride fare to CTB

Ok. How many SN cases have you seen? Is it always a long painful death if they're not revived?

I have personally attended to 3 and heard several others from my colleagues. Out of the 3 I attended to, 2 of them were conscious when being admitted and they complained of severe stomach pain and migraine where the 3rd patient was in a seizure and was unable to communicate. All of them died unfortunately between 3-6 hrs upon admission.
