Shit is falling apart at my house... My cell phone has been disconnected, my cable/internet/home phone are about to and I'm a month behind on my rent so, my landlord is about to evict me. I don't see any way around this and am just so tired of being alive, in pain, dreaming of not being alive anymore. I've tried to ctb before finding this site via OD--OD'd on paracetomal (upwards of 24,000 mg which I do NOT recommend. I was in excruciating pain for 4-5 days each time and was unable to keep even fluids down) as well as trying to OD on ambien, clonipin, clonidine and Klonipin. Obviously none of these worked but I do have a broken nose from passing out and falling on my face when I tried to OD with clonidine. Literally fell off the when I passed out and fell on my face breaking my nose. Wonderful, right?

Anyhow, shit is coming to a head, so I figured I'd see if my idea for partial suspension would work. I tied one end of a dog leash to the bedroom door handle and looped the other end around my neck and clipped it off. After leaning forward for about 5 seconds, it felt like my head would explode... I'm not sure I can keep that up for long enough to pass out and ultimately ctb. What made it SOOO much worse was that my dog was on the other side of the door crying and whimpering because he wanted to get into the bedroom. Broke my heart. Damnit!!!! What am I going to do now???????

Maybe try it without the dog on the other end of the leash?

Sorry about your dilemma. Hope someone can give you some more ideas or guide you further with the respostioning of the leash, never tried that method so not sure...So no long term damage with the paracetamol OD? Yeah doesn't sound like a very nice experience. Really hope someone can help you out

Partial is hard. There is a gigantic thread here that I've read a million times and it still doesn't help. I wish you peace. My life is in shambles too, so I feel you.

Damn. Sorry. I need to read more carefully.

As Retched said, partial is damnably difficult. Of all the methods I've heard discussed, it seems the most prone to failure.

Survival instinct is the damnably difficult part.

Not that I know of... I almost went to the hospital at one point when I was just lying in bed rocking myself and groaning through the pain, but decided to wait it out. It was hell. 5 days of pure hell.

OMG, that's awful! I'd never do that to my Chuckles! I felt bad enough using his leash, but I'm terrible at tying knots and don't think I'd be able to tie a noose.

Partial suspension is only for those who really want to die no matter what.. Survival instinct won't have a chance stopping them.
Anyone with little daunts about suicide should look for other lethal methods..

I think the "exploding head" feeling means you're doing it wrong; either not enough pressure or pressure on the wrong spot. Perhaps you could look at the night night method or the torniquet method?

Sorry, Endofmyrope. I didn't mean to be so coarse. I feel odd about deleting posts, since I have the sense that they become part of an archival record, but I'm happy to delete that one if you think I crossed a line. I don't want to add to your unhappiness.

No, no, no, don't be silly. :). Thanks for the offer, but that's not necessary. Lol. Honestly, I got a little chuckle out of it. A chuckle in reference to my "Chuckles" (hehe ;) just my late night attempt at some humor. not sure if you saw my post with his picture in it but my dog's name is Chuck who I often call Chuckles).

I have a picture detailing placement of body and rope, kind of a height guide, I was wondering where to post, this seems like the best place, (see how things happen for a reason, this universe does have some power)
I will do a little write up in a bit, I'm hungover, stoned and groggy as fuck right now but will make sure i do it. If you anyone gets impatient just give me a nudge.

Edit: that's if anyone wants to see it, it will be behind a spoiler and a content warning btw
❤️

I have tested partial a lot lately and i can say that if you want to use this method for real then a slipknot is a must. The slipknot is the most important part because once it is locked in tight it is not coming loose. Use some type of rope if you can not saying other things don't work but a rope with a slipknot will work if your that determined to die.

Okay; so long as my post isn't a rock in your shoe. You don't need that further aggravation. (Cute dog, if that's him in your avatar.)

I wish I had some useful advice about partial, but all I can tell you is that it seems like everyone has trouble with it. If you want help learning knots, there are many YouTube videos.

Jeez I'm so sorry about your dog situation... breaks my heart I wish there was an easier way T ___ T. For the exploding head thingy, you can't be lowering the pressure slowly. In short, it's making it so blood is going into your head without leaving before all circulation is cut off. Try dropping all your weight down at once. Since you're doing it by leaning, push forward hard (like WHAM! instead of wwhhaaaamm....) and hold the pressure there. Should be tingly and stuff. And leash should work so long as it's tightened, I think. Good luck !

Partial can be really difficult. I've failed myself at this method. There's a long thread here about it but you need to be almost-exact. It can be an easy method but also an extremely difficult method.

There's a long list of celebrities that have successfully accomplished this method. For many of us here who have tried it, myself included. there seems to be a high failure rate. It's too easy to back out of and the rope has to be positioned just right. I wish I was a celebrity because I would have done it by now.

SI makes up a large part of the failures.... True indeed. It's easy to back out.
I was frustrated for several weeks and looking into other methods before I finally got partial dialed in. Now it's quick and repeatable. The key is putting on ALL your weight at once having the rope as high as possible.

You can tie the rope to the doorknob and throw the rope over the door and adjust the other side accordingly.

I'm using a study over the door hanger like this one. I've tested it extensively and feel more comfortable with it than I do the door knob. Door way pull-up bar is still best though in my eyes.

There's definitely some euphoria for me too. Was at the dentists yesterday and got laughing gas and there are def parallels between the two experiences
