It always seems that no matter what i do it's never good enough.

I will never measure up.

I'm always compared to what i "could have been, if." Or someone says "Come on, Echo, You're smarter than that!" And i am once again paralyzed and numb because "that" was my best foot forwards.

Yep i could even say im the black sheep of the family, all my cousins are either in university or having a high paying jobs and im not jealous, i know them and they are great people im happy that it worked for them. Once i ctb i hope they dont get impacted that much and just move on with their life

Yes.
Whatever I do, it is mediocre or worse. I just suck, I feel like I learn things a lot slower than others. I feel like I am a lot dumber than others. No talent, no nothing.
I am actually ashamed for existing and feel sorry for my friends, family, professors and all the others that have to deal with me.
I am human trash.

Well this seems like a common thread among a lot of us. I'm in the same boat as you, and the older I get the more pathetic and useless I feel. Now that I'm middle aged, my dreams are rather small. I would love to just simply have a family: wife, a child or two. But even this small fantasy seems out of reach to me. I have no job skills, no college degree. I've never even had my own apartment -- can't afford one. The best I can do for myself is renting a room in someone else's apartment or house. My little dream of having a family seems like a completely unattainable goal. How pathetic is that?
