ive been suicidal for pretty much my entire life, and i have a permanent problem that cannot be fixed at all, by anyone. it can barley even be alleviated. i hate when non-suicidal people just act like all problems are temporary, that everything can just magically be fixed, or that you can get over things. life is not a fairytale where everything will just magically work out. some things just do not have solutions that aren't dying. it amazes me that people can delude into thinking everything will always work itself out, and life will always go on to become amazing

I think there are enough examples of seemingly temporary problems and then everyone thinks every problem is temporary.
We made some good strides about mental health, in recent years.. but a lot people still can't understand it.

People tend to see things from their own perspectives. Most people have never spent any time where many of us have so they have no concept of what it's like. They can't even imagine it although they think they can. So, because they think they know how we feel they share what they think will 'fix' the problem.

I think most people like that actually think they're helping. I don't think they're being mean or anything. They're just clueless.

I've been told this my entire life, and I've realized that

No one understands us, No one that never had an awful time for like 24/7 is likely to understand what we're been through

Honestly, I couldn't care less about what pro-life people say about my situation

Like, If they really want to help, they wouldn't done what they did to me, sincerely, I'm tired of hypocrisy and broken promises, coming from people that never had been there for me, I'm done with life as I'm done with this kind of person

I'm ending my life soon and no one's gonna stop me. Eve if I'm too young to do it, as everyone says to me every time I speak about suicidal, HAHAHAHAHAHA

Like? I wasn't too young to be abused and treated like shit, bullied and self low l?
But if I kill myself I'm tOo yOuNg

Honestly? FUCK THIS! I'LL KILL MYSELF NO MATTER WHAT THESE CRAPPY PEOPLE SAY OR DO TO STOP ME

SINCERELY... FUCK PRO- LIFE AND ABUSIVE PEOPLE!!!!

I'M SO TIRED OF BEING MISTREATED AND ABUSED BY MY FAMILY AND SOME RANDOM PEOPLE THAT GET INTO MY LIFE AHAHAHSHAH

I'M TOO FUCKED SINCE I CAN'T CRY RN AHHAHAHAH FUCK THIS!

This is true.

Life really is temporary.

But can I do it more temporary?

I suffer from permanent physical condition that has completely overtaken my life and made me a shell of the person I should be.

Prior to this, I was content, motivated, and optimistic about life. I had bouts of mild/moderate depression before - which I thought was "rock bottom" at the time. But I realized after suffering suicidal thoughts. It's a realm of it's own. It's completely indescribable to those who have never been in a similar position.

That's why I've never been able to take these phrases to heart, 'it gets better' or 'bad times don't last forever'. Because for me, my situation quite literally will last forever. The only thing that could possibly change is whether or not I can mentally cope with it - 5 years later, I've made little progress.

I don't glamorize suicide. Some people on this forum believe consciousness itself is a curse. I don't necessarily agree. I think people should fight hard to feel better. Talk to a therapist. I think life can be great, and some situations really are temporary.

For myself, I know that i've tried harder than I've had to. I've done the most I can possibly do to feel better. I'm still here for now, trying my best to hold onto relationships, my sanity, my girlfriend. But if things don't improve, then I truly do feel like I have no other options.

It's really so cruel to me how there's all this suffering in existing, it sounds like you've suffered a lot. But anyway I wish you the best, I've also always wanted to die, in fact it's all I personally know.

Life is full of perpetual problems: hunger, thirst, the need for shelter, the need to socialize and be socially accepted and integrated in the tribe, for instance. A failure to satisfy these problems will result in hurt and suffering. Nobody asks to be born and yet here we are, forced to work every day to satisfy these needs. The reward is the absence of hurt and suffering for a short while as well as a neurotransmitter delusionā€”and that's if you're lucky, because I've been suffering from depression and anhedonia almost all my life and I receive no fulfillment from anything.

In fact, these problems have been tenaciously resistant to treatments that have been ongoing for over a decade. At which point would people say it's no longer temporary? At which point do I no longer have to hold out, at which point would people agree that I would be justified to CBT? Never. It's never. These people will never let you go. Oh, they'll still see you abused for suffering from depression or other issues and as such failing to function normally, whether that's in social or economic matters. But you can never go.

Our problems are very temporary though. They only last until we die.

Absolutely agreed with your post. In fact, even the most classic and cringiest statement said by CTB preventionists and pro-lifers/anti-choicers alike are the "CTB is a permanent solution to temporary problems" in their slogan. It's just despicable, inaccurate, and ignorant seeing that plastered everywhere. It's like some sort of virtue signaling, good vibes and feel good bullshit that normies use to stick it to the suicidal while feeling good about themselves. In fact, I can relate to how most of my life is just mundanity and distractions from even more suffering, but with times of great suffering. For me though, I wasn't more serious about CTB until about adulthood (even though it may have crossed my mind as a teenager, even in the abstract sense).

What the fuck is a temporary problem anyway? Stubbing your toe? One bad emotional episode? But, like, what major problems dont affect you long term?

I keep hearing that too. "Keep your hopes up! Something new is coming!" Gets old, doesn't it? After 39 years I'm pretty sure it's not going to get bettter.
