I've mentioned this idea before, but would be interested in further feedback.
In order to bypass taste, would it be feasible to use a soft tube and push it down to the back of the throat, beyond the tongue? I know tubes directly to the stomach can lead to complications if they accidentally end up in the lung, but a shorter tube just to bypass the tongue and the swallow reflex is easily done, surely ?
Once inserted, the outer end can be attached to a funnel, and any foul-tasting liquid can be poured down, bypassing the tongue but finding its own natural way to the stomach. Would this work?
