I knew nothing of the SN method until a few days ago, but everything I have read so far says that without antiemetics, the risk of throwing up is greatly increased. So I am going to assume that not taking them means I reduce my chances of being successful, which is not a option I wish to consider right now.

can't you just say you have heartburn?
In the US our "doctors" throw meds at us whether we need them or not.

It is controlled in our country, they will make sure that they give an OTC one which might not be effective

It is a good idea to prepare 2 doses anyway, but you will just suffer unnecessarily without antiemetics.

Reading between the lines of stuff I have looked at, having a empty stomach reduces the risk of vomiting and making sure you take acid regulators also helps to that end. But its how your body reacts to being poisoned, which is what you will be doing. Everyone reacts slightly differently. Trying multiple times in a short space of time is not something I would know anything about. Its not something I wish to contemplate either.

Well, I also plan to prepare the stock just in case. without Meto \ antiemetic. bit problematic to get them. when trying to contact the doctors, they wanted to spend my money on the examination for 3 months and, in theory, I would have suffered all this time. good logic, what really. given that no allergies whatsoever...

Domperidone is as good as meto apparently. So you will likely succeed with your plans. And isn't ranitidine OTC in Russia?

@jake3d, Domperidone is not as good as meto. Domperidone used to be an OTC med in my country, but was removed because of heart related issues. PN refers to meto as the gold standard.

@Roger, SN is currently my preferred choice, but I would highly recommended you don't try SN-ing without a good anti-emetic. I know they are difficult to obtain. Chapter 9 of the March PPH gives a hint on how to get meto. The March PPH is posted here.

If your doc has your file and it has anything related to anxiety or depression, you're not gonna get anything that could be used to harm yourself. So they are probably aware of why people want antiemetics and if ginger doesn't help (hahaha come on...), they'll suggest whatever is on the shelf. Depends how well they know you and the vibe they get from you. Mine makes me get my meds twice a month now instead of once because I overmedicate when I'm impulsive and distressed (bad combo).

And heartburn will get you acid reducers which you can get without a prescription anyway. Most nausea is caused by anxiety or motion, the ones you would need are prescribed because they help reduce drug-induced nausea (ie chemo patients). So it will be hard to convince any doc that you have drug-induced nausea...

Prescription or not doesn't matter. Depends on the country. You're looking for specific acid reducers:
Cimetidine (Tagamet)
Ranitidine (Zantac)
