Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Anyone else with either one or both?

I have both. And many variations of synesthesia.

Sometimes a blessing and a curse.

it is much more of a curse than a blessing

I have both and I'm highly dissociative. It's a train wreck.

I wonder if there is any direct (or even indirect) connection between Synesthesia and dissociation? I have both as well. And sometimes the dissociation is wildly scary.

Cnsidering the fact that many dissociative drugs can cause "temporary synesthesia" in non-synestheses... probably.

That absolutely makes sense. Thank you. When I was 15 I tried marijuana for the first time. Needless to say, it was NOT pleasant lol. I ended up having THC-induced psychosis. I experienced so many different things during that event, it was absolutely traumatizing. I knew it wasn't just that particular "batch" because it happened a few more times a few years later (not as strong because I was careful not to use as much).

I thought it was just me and my awkwardness, but then I found out a few years ago that some people do get psychosis when they take it. I've read some awful horror stories.
