I have a very large high-end CRT monitor, which has a flyback transformer capable of running upwards of 135khz. The flyback transformer is by far the most dangerous part of a CRT that you're supposed avoid touching because it "can" kill you, whatever that means. And I would imagine the higher the frequency, the likelier it is to be fatal, but I'm no electrician.
CRT TVs are considered dangerous and their flybacks run at only ~15khz, while average consumer CRT monitors usually ran at 80 to 90-something khz. The one I own is an extreme outlier. Something running at a frequency nearly ten times that of a CRT TV seems like it should be nearly ten times as dangerous... would appreciate someone more electrically educated than me weighing in on whether I'm onto something or not.
