Wat. It was half-hearted as can be but some time ago last month I thought this would be the day I would die.

What were they thinking. Is it because they think suicide is ugly so they had to use the ugliest possible colors? Unsubtle, man.
I know it sounds insane but I can imagine some random marketing team somewhere saying "hey, if we make the ribbon unattractive, maybe that will make suicide unattractive too."
These are the people we hypothetically live with.

Instead of just virtual signaling and spewing empty platitudes and pats on the back that "yeah we are really helping we have a day if awareness" how about they actually HELP us! My response is a bit USA centric but FREE therapy (ability to talk about suicide freely with out fear of psych ward), national healthcare, stop automating away jobs and everyone gets a guaranteed job, safe Affordable housing with caps in how much can be charged for rent, and no raising rent at end of lease, a LIVABLE wage.....all this certainly wouldn't solve everything but it's a step to helping people

I wished they had made National Suicide Awareness Month as November so I could CTB on it for maximum irony. I would want my death not to be a symbol to bring awareness but to mock such a half-assed attempt at addressing the issue of suicide.
