If I wrote a facebook message and used words like

"Before I leave your life for good I want you to know the truth" or this is the way it had to be etc.

I'm planning on shooting myself right after sending. But If i chicken out, is that enough for her to call the cops on me or something? If I didn't technically say I was committing suicide. If they came here and I changed my mind, i could just say i am planning on moving outta state and wanted to say good bye.

Would look wierd tho since i just bought a new gun.

Yes. Yes it is enough for her to call the cops. I did the same (albeit hours before I planned to pull the trigger) and she called the cops, they showed up to my location and questioned me prepared to Baker Act me. I was able to convince them otherwise.

my advice, do not - I repeat, do not - send that message until you are 100% prepared to go through with your plan immediately.

What I plan on doing is talking with my ex beforehand and saying it's for "closure" and not letting on about any suicidal stuff. Saying my goodbyes as in, I'm cutting contact off with you, rather than, I'm killing myself... But this method would depend on what you're planning on saying in your letter. Obviously if you plan on referring to your future death or giving away your possessions that's gonna be a red flag to them.
Have you considered a delayed email service?

Yeah send the message, but I think you know yourself you run the risk of her phoning the police especially if you have displayed suicidal tendencies before while in a relationship with her.
If she asks why are you sending a message like that you could just say what you said above, that your leaving town and wanted to say goodbye?
Depends if she will buy that or not.
Best of luck.

Still, be careful with this. When it happened to me, she knew I was moving out of town about 30 minutes away - and I said almost exactly what you state above. Only referencing goodbye and closure, nothing even hinting at suicide. She still called the cops.

Will keep that in mind, thank you

Delayed email? That way you'll be gone before she gets it and she can't phone the police to stop you if you've already gone...
