• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I have this habit of setting dates for my suicide. And I haven't done it yet, but I like to have a day that I'm "allowed to" I guess. It feels like a solution when everyday is bad.

Do y'all have a system into choosing your date? I work around appointments sometimes and make sure people aren't home. But I didn't know if people thought about it more or not.

I only really "set a date" once, and even then it was just a rough estimate. I was thinking the end of November 2024, that's the most specific I ever got.

I find setting a date freaks me out. It just makes the anticipation even worse counting down the days.

I chose my date for highly sentimental reasons. It's not too far away now, and although I'm growing more and more impatient, having it set at least gives me a target. Just gotta while away the days, constantly checking the calendar to see it get closer to the final day now

I set mine on my ex's birthday, two years ago. Ended up getting locked in a psych ward. Honestly I just want to die, I don't care about the date. Would like it to be before the end of the year when I turn 30.

That makes two of us who won't turn 30 this year! Always thought I'd die at 35, but 29 is just as good for me

I thought I'd kill myself at 27 like a rockstar, but turns out I'm not a rockstar, or an artist at all, that is just another one of my dead dreams. I'm fine with whatever date or time as long as I die and it's soon.

Basically all dates are of equal relevance, except for solstice or equinox. This were often the dates of human sacrifices and would be my choice.

I am the same here. I would usually give me a time period. If things do not work out, I will die. And for a date happens in the far future, I usually pick my birthday.

I've set dates before, but I find setting dates leads me not to do it... I've set a rough date before, like within the next week or something like that, but the same thing happens.

More than a date, I'm waiting for another 'great fall into the abyss'. I know I'll do it impulsively.

Yeah I've had a few dates, and my current D-Day is early next year on my next birthday.
The past dates pushed me to go "fuck it" and just go wild and try whatever I want, which did lead me to succeed in life in many ways, except in the "be normal human being with job" part which I still kept failing at, but I did do traveling, meet tons of amazing people, get new friends, achieve things I didn't think I could achieve, learned a lot of new things... I called those years my "suicide years", where I'd do things with more risky just because I wanted to and because I thought they'd help me get better.
Same story as usual, though. If I am in control of my life and can do things according to my rules and guidelines I am generally, but as soon as I have to adhere to society as a whole everything falls totally apart because society is just shit and sick for the most part.

I think I'm going to try to do it on my birthday if I can at all handle it. That way my family doesn't have two days a year related to me to remember, just one, and maybe that makes my death easier for them in some small tiny way.

I do that too. I figure it makes it so others don't have like another date to remember me by. Not the day I kill myself AND my birthday. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I get that. They say you're supposed to feel at peace or whatever. But I think it'll be more in the moment. No matter how much I "plan" it.

Completely agree with this train of thought.

No I don't have a date. It's more which day is the day that I cannot do it another day.

I pick my birthday for a different reason though. I was going to make my birth ironic and deny it.
