Suicide by Tylenol

I am planning to go this saturday by tylenol, and i plan to take it while i sleep, what i need to know is how many pills are needed? I read online that 5 pills within 24 hours were lethal, but i was hoping on being unconscious within the 6-8 hour mark because i dont want to lie in a muddy forest for more than a couple hours.

If it is not possible with Tylenol, what other over the counter drugs could i use? and no, i will not buy illegal drugs

Otc overdoses usually dont work for ctb.. They mostly just bring alot of pain. But im not expert.

Don't do it; there are more effective ways. Tylenol will destroy your liver. Liver failure is a terrible way to die--takes days of agonizing pain, jaundice, ect.

Sn online is the best bet. Pretty much impossible to do with otc pain meds, formulas have changed to prevent it, but can cause really bad liver/kidney problems

I've attempted it twice, and can tell you the other members are absolutely right. It will make you throw up a lot, like you have food poisoning. And if you do eventually die (which is extremely unlikely) it will be in hospital, probably after weeks of suffering. And you may end up surviving with long lasting organ damage.

You can certainly try it and people do die of Tylenol ODs, but we have no data or info to share as far as how much someone would have to take. There's anecdotal evidence out there but it seems overall that painkiller ODs are a really unreliable method, in addition to painful.

I'll tell you now though that I regularly take 5 pills over a 24 hour period when I get really bad period cramps, so you'll need a lot more than that!

As someone who has tried this method, I don't advise it AT ALL. I felt like I was going to die but I ended up instead in the ICU for a few days and then sent back to a psych hospital. They use something called NAC that counteracts the effect of Tylenol on your liver. You'll likely survive after much suffering.

I dont necessarily think doing more pills = more chance of success. The more pills you take, the more chance you will throw up. I can tell you that I've attempted it with more than 50 before and was unsuccessful. And it was all the vomiting that made me fail. So I dont think that if I'd done, let's say, 100 I would have been more likely to succeed

OTC drugs are sold OTC because they are highly unlikely to cause death even in overdose. If you decide to consider diphenhydramine instead (Benadryl, Unison), there are horrific effects and are as unreliable as Tylenol. For all if these drugs, death is possible, but the successes are extreme outliers, which is why they remain OTC.

The pinned Resources Compilation at the top of the Suicide Discussion forum is a good place to start researching method. Illegal drugs are not the only alternative. I hear that you may feel in somewhat of a rush, and I have empathy for that, but rushing rather than planning will make it more likely to end up in a hospital and/or a potentially abusive psych ward situation, as well as being closely monitored afterward if you have loved ones.

No it's not worth it, I took 150 Tylenol pms (500 mg) and a couple of other things all at once and all it did was make me disoriented and sick to my stomach for about a week, and I also most likely have significant liver damage from it.
