I know it sounds stupid and would probably be very unpleasant, but I find radiation fascinating and I've been toying with this idea.
Maybe an x-ray diy machine left on overnight? I assume I'd wake up with sunburns

Few deaths would be as agonizing as this.
May as well microwave yourself. Same results, quicker outcome.

You would have to have vast knowledge on how radiation exactly works and equipment. Not to mention that there are high chances of failure and possible extreme pain.

If your smart enough to understand stuff about radiation and arnt as dumb as I am you should be able to figure out how to hang or whatever way easier and less painful.

I will say something maybe very stupid, but with agony or without, at the end it's death, and death is death, so maybe it could be a choice.
But it's sound harder than other choices, find a bridge to jump, rope, sn or medics sounds easier than finding something that could irradiated someone to death.

People with cancer get radiation. If I'm remembering correctly, the radiation isn't as bad as the chemo, but I could have that backwards. I don't know all the details, though.

No, not possible. Getting a radioactive material is already hard enough and even if you have access to a machine, the radiation output is always regulated.

Radiation sickness is agonizingly slow, and i mean YEARS slow. the only thing you'll get that can be lethal is cancer.

And making radiation diy machine requires a lot of electricity too btw, so its a no go.

Death by radiation sickness is a slow and painful death. Unless you can get an acute exposure to the right type of radiation (radiation out put generally fits 3 types, beta, alpha and gamma ration) it may take years to die. Consider that the Japanese who were nuked during WWII did not die instantly from the radiation. Some lived very long lives, sick, deformed and no real way to provide them with treatment or relief. Exposure would more likely cause death by the development of cancer. This is not a pleasant way to exit.

There's actually some of them who died instantly but it was horrific. Their bodies disintegrated into ash and stuck a shadow like image in the walls. No remains, not even clothes. Sometimes i wonder how did their relatives even grieved.

This chart is pretty interesting. Not sure how you'd go about getting a high enough dose to be comatose in seconds but it's fun to imagine lmao.

If you find radiation fascinating, you should research (the incredibly easily accessible) effects of radiation sickness. Nothing about it is pleasant, nor do you have access to sources that could make it fast.

Granted - but when life has been full of so much pain, it would be nice for the departure to be as smooth as possible.

The time to death is entirely dependent on dosage and can range from seconds to years later from cancer and everything in between.

I think it's still possible to get radioactive materials. have you heard about Radium Girls? I remember my parents had those radium watches in their appartment
