• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

How many people here are actually suicidal or use the fact that they can get out as a safe, you blanket to a null anxiety.

Do you think people that actually have in them to kill themselves? Are made differently. What do you think anyone can do it? And it's just a case of getting to the end and you can't possibly take any more.

I've been suicidal for over half my life, it's not a safety net, it's just the endpoint. Being suicidal does not help my day to day life in any way. Even now that I have a plan and everything is falling into place for me to CTB, I still have to live this miserable life every day until then.

Just wanting some peace

I wish I had the option to just peacefully free myself from this existence, it'd bring me so much relief if I could just permanently save myself from all future suffering in this existence I always saw as the most terrible tragic mistake and I always suffer so much from how such is so cruelly denied for me with suffering seen as to force and prolong no matter what. I'd just never wish to suffer in this cruel, torturous existence rather all I hope for is non-existence, I just want to fall into an eternal dreamless sleep and never suffer ever again and I'll always just see existing as being suffering all for the sake of it, non-existence truly is always preferable for me and is all I see as desirable.

I always wanted to know I'm dying and go gradually for example get in and go into palliative care (with lots of painkillers) as apposed to just being here then not.

If that makes sense my friend always said that aswell before he/her was found dead on the bathroom floor of his/her bedsit after taking a O/D and drinking a lot of alcohol but it's important to say DONT COPY HIM he took hundreds of overdosed over 20 years and ending up in physical and mental hospital more times than a locum Doctor.

I did a poll here with a small sample size but about people if they had a choice would like to live if they had a perfect life and half doesn't care about life and still seek to die.

The half that would want to live a perfect life, they are still suicidal, for a number of reasons.
What it comes down to is that this group loses hope of ever living a better life, and they'd rather choose death instead of facing bad life.

It's safe to say most people here are actively suicidal, and likely have attempted or will attempt some time in their life, that's just the nature of this kind of forum.

But it's also true that this forum has also put some people on the track of recovery, and that having access to like minded people curb their desires a little bit. Sometimes just being told it's okay to quit is enough to relieve someone.

In any case, it's good that this forum can do both for all kinds of people here. Whether it be those who intend to follow through or those who simply seek company and comfort.
