Suicide alone ?

first before people get pissed I am not for or against suicide I believe it is a personal choice all I say is suicide is a last resort and permanent now to the post do you think it should be legal under certain circumstances to make it legal for a friend or family member to help. obviously you would need a waiting period a notarized statement and examination stating they are sane and clear as to what they are doing i'm not for or against i'm not sure

If one has the clear capabilities to live, or have to live, they should have the right to choose not to. If that person would like to leave in the presence of family and friends, with or without their aid or of that of a medical professional, then it should be legal if all involved parties are willing without a pressured influence.

However, in a stigmatized society, where prolonging a life brings more capital gains and there is always a chance for legal recourse, regardless of signed documentation, any such chance of this widespread acceptance is merely a pipe dream.

Common mass suicides in a form of protest may bring more attention to the matter and of people's rights. I doubt this will have much effect either though. Power, politics, and money have a greater influence unfortunately.

I do wish it was legal. I feel terribly isolated and alone because I'm afraid to make those around me complicit and want to protect them. I believe I am making it worse for them too, since I can't help with acceptance.

One of the true limited beauties of being human is our abilities to change things within our own control. Maybe not always for the masses, or in ideal circumstances, but with the will or determination, we can. What the changes are or mean to others is irrelevant. It's ourselves that matter most.

I cannot change my life to my dreams I once shared and lived months ago, but I can change them to move on to peace and relief from a grief that would otherwise go unchanged.
