I was fired yesterday without reason (90 day probationary period) and I'm having trouble not finding ways to hurt myself. I feel really betrayed and hurt, my coworkers were not nice to me. Any advice for how I can cope with this without self harming? I'm so stressed I'm already so tight on money and now I have nothing coming in. I'm kind of freaking out.

Ive been there so many times..

What was the job you got fired from? In my experience the job wasnt worth it to begin with. And being fired just lead me to do something better.

I was working in a middle school cafeteria, I agree I'm glad to be out of there. How did you deal with the in between period?

I worked for temp agencies to get by, and sending out applications for other more serious work.

My biggest problem was failing at job interviews.


I was fired once and I didnt even know it. I went to work and they said "oh you quit yesterday". And I said "if I quit why did I show up today?". Anyways long story short, I filed claims against them to employment standards people and ended up winning around $900...

Well in the moment not to self-harm you can listen to some crazy music, im talking crazy experimental ambient bullshit, try to dissect it or something.

Or listen to TERRIBLE music... assault your eardrums. like, put yourself through that. lol, its a funny alternative to SH since it technically still counts. Like, if i made myself to listen to hobo johnson i think that would count as self harm...
