What method are you planning to use? The reason I ask is because I would feel more comfortable with stat if I was using N or S as my method. If I was using SN as my method I would feel more comfortable with the 48 hour regimen.

My research tells me the regimen is more effective. Metoclopramide empties the stomach and intestine and so allows the drug to absorb better and faster. So fasting as long as possible along with a meto regimen should allow for the best results because there would be no food to block the absorption.

I only researched Metoclopramide not domperidone. But Meto is more effective imo.

S is Seconal. With SN I would personally do the 48hr regimen.

Most of the protocols used by the euthanasia firms use stat doses. Knowing how meto works, I personally would put my faith in a stat dose, though the 48 hr wouldn't hurt anything if you could spare the time.

In the middle of my 2nd regimen day with meto I start to panic. I took a little bit of Xanax (drops) and 2 Benadryl tablets.
Please nobody tell me "that means you're not ready". I want to take my chance during the daytime with the stat dose.
Anybody have any advice on how to calm panic attack symptoms?
Did I ruin it? Please PM me.

meto- i tested it-no side effects
Then I'd suggest 48hrs if you can mentally cope with it too. I'm doing stat for a variety of reasons, one being my rapid mood swings. Stat suits me better. I think it's important we tailor the method to meet our individual needs.

If you're certain you want to do this @Daniela do stat. Not everyone can cope mentally with 48hr regime. I can't.

Or people could just do a 24h. So take 10mg, 8h later, 10mgs, then 8h later 30mgs. I don't know why it has to be a 48h or stat. Seems like too long vs too short for me. I would think the more meto you can get in with a 24h would be better than just a stat esp since the stat dose amount is what you take at the end of a 48h anyway, so just shorten that by a day and do 24h instead with stat dose at the end. That would literally be the same thing as a stat, but with 2 extra 10mgs meto's, one 8h and the 2nd 16 hours before.

Actually forgot to say the only side effect I got was feeling really drowsy- which makes a little worried about organising things.

I feel embarrassed & silly asking this, and yes, I promise I did try to search the keywords to learn on my own from previous threads...

What is the difference between a "stat dose" and a "regimen" of SN?

(I get that a regimen is probably including anti-emetics, but is that the only difference?)

Please advise me good people...:heart:

Thank you!

The only difference between the two is the amount of anti-emetic that you are taking. The stat dose is taking the anti-emetic 45 minutes before taking the SN.

The regimen has the same amount of anti-emetic 45 minutes before the SN, but you also take the anti-emetic the day before and earlier that day.

So in short yes, the anti-emetic is the only difference between stat and regimen. I can break it down using Stan's guide if that would help you also. Just let me know.
