I wrote a message for my family saying goodbye etc. and I also wrote in there which songs I want to be played at my funeral. I decided on

"Put your records on" from Corinne Bailey Rae and
"Tightrope" from LP

I hope they are allowed to play two. What are your songs?

Hey friend, wasn't sure of either of these songs so gave them a listen (LC? = Lacuna Coil?)
What do they mean to you?

I think about, not necessarily funeral songs, but more like songs for a fitting end.
If I had to choose from 2 I'd go for:
Vnv Nation - Shine
Sick Fuck - Unter Null

DBD

Definitely "Always look on the bright side of life". Huge MP fan and the song is just right. Probably anything Sabbath or Maiden. "Spiral Architect" if I had to pick right now.

I absolutely do not want a funeral.

But if people did one... I guess I would want them to play:

Metallica - Blackened
Slipknot - Duality
Iron Maiden - Wasted Years

And....

N'sync - Bye Bye Bye (because I'm always a smartass, even in death)

No Lp stands for Laura Pergolizzi she's rather unknown but her voice is unique.
The first song put your records on always made me dream about a better life when I grow up. I was like 14 when I heard it the first. She sings :you gonna find yourself somewhere somehow. Also "a love that afro hair do" (I'm biracial) and was bullied by a lot of people because of that at that time. I started to love myself later so this song is important (I want to ctb because of schizophrenia)
The second song tightrope she sings :"all this time you're just trying not to lose it, you can always learn to fly you never do until you do it" is for me also about self love also I was outed as gay 3 years ago by a friend what sucked but I was happy it was done. Feels like being honest and free kinda. And the singer is gay. That's why because it was so annoying from childhood till now.
I know Lacuna Coil, well one song but it's a good song :).
I think I will give a listen to all of your songs too.

I'm sorry :(. My family would care so I want them to have it

I thought about linking Park too but I kinda don't want to make it more dramatic. I wished I could have a funeral where everybody dances

The good ones by Marie mai and tebey. I want my loved ones to remember the good times not my disorders. I plan on having a whole list but definitely this one

I don't really want a funeral, I have a huge anxiety about gatherings involving myself (why I could never get married) but I do think The prettiest star by David Bowie would be an awesome funeral song.

Anything they want. It's their ceremony. They do it for themselves, not for the deceased

That's unlikely to be an issue for you at your funeral.

had to shout ou tto a fellow sabbath lover! I love black sabbath and have had a love for them and Ozzy since I was 13.. I wish Ozzy didn't have parkinsons. I would sell my kidneys to see sabbath and ozzy together on stage
In my case there wont be a funeral. I'm getting cremated like my son. All I have are my mom, bro, sis in law, their kids and my younger son. Not much of a funeral there

Moonlight Sonata, 1st Movement.

I know I won't have a funeral, I don't want one. Having people say fake shit about me like they knew me or liked me, nd then go eat food and pretend it never happened after? Nah, I'll pass (pun intended)

But if I did.. I would want Moonlight Sonata's first movement to play. It has a lot of memories for me, and it is a song that when I hear it... I can feel at ease. So if I died peacefully, I would want others to share in that peace.
