I try so hard to be funny, to be light, to be kind. I never do it right.

Are you really not saying the right things, or is it the reaction of the people you're saying them to that is making you think that? Did you know that many people are extremely phony and shallow, and that the things they say on social media or IRL are usually engineered to paint the them in a positive light or get a favourable response, despite their true nature or feelings? Maybe you're just not a phony fuck? Did you ever think that might be it? If there's a chance that might be the case, don't let other people make you feel bad about yourself. Know who you are, take pride in who you are, and don't let other people make you feel bad about yourself! It took me almost two decades to learn this. Keep trying.
