So the trials have been done in feral pigs euthanasia with SN and the results are pretty good. They found it is humane and effective. 9165 9166

Yeah I think sodium nitrite is going to become the number one suicide agent for 3 reasons. It's legal (and will stay legal), relatively peaceful, and cheap.

Why do you think it'll stay legal if lots of people end their lives with it? I think governments will crack down on it and make it only available to businesses.

Can you name one other thing that the government has made illegal even though it's so ubiquitous. Something like cyanide wouldn't count because it's not as common. I mean SN is used in food, meats which is so common that it would be hard to regulate. Even if they did regulate it I bet it would be easy to buy from another country. In the end it is just too popular for other uses.

They've made it harder to get pure helium. Alot of places its mixed now although still available.
I suppose its like charcoal, can buy that anywhere and alot of people die from that. They can't ban that. I should of thought properly before posting!

No you were on the right track. In fact I heard that some companies have added something to charcoal to prevent CO from releasing at high levels or something like that. OK so they can taint helium and that will work they can mess with charcoal that that could work. But I doubt that they can mess with or dilute SN in any significant way. The reason why is that SN as used in food can't be mixed with some other weird chemical in any significant quantities. The only thing that can counter act SN poising (methemoglobinemia) as far as I know is methylene blue. Which for a 200 lb person would have to have 90 mg. Besides methylene blue it's also a dye. Which would make our meat look blue. LOL

It's just crazy that we're not allowed to end our lives, we have to wait till die 'naturally'. People will always find ways if want something bad enough.

Yeah I know. I am convinced that we will legalize it the coming decades. I remember when the idea of marijuana being legal was so far out there that it seemed like a pipe dream. Yet here we are in about 1-2 years it will be legal in my state. So I am hopeful that people will evolve on this issue.

I think they'll be strict rules about who can die. Like I don't think people with mental illnesses will have much hope because I applied to a place on the Netherlands that allow for physical and emotional problems to end it but I got knocked back so even if they do legalize it in your state and other places, people suffering emotionally will still have difficulties being heard.
Sorry, I know you were talking about weed, I don't see in the uk people being able to go into a dispensary and buying it and why should people wait decades to die. I probably will die before I'm 60 but I don't want to wait till then.

In Belgium people with mental illness can still get doctor assisted suicide.

Belgium put people to sleep for depression. I'm sure I watched a video about it on YouTube a while ago now. Unlike dignitas.
We both mentioned Belgium. Spooky. Lol.

And it sucks! Why do i have to keep living this life if I'm not happy in it? How is it even fair? They dont own me; it's my body.

U.S mentality has it fucking backwards. "Land of the free"- fuck that.

I think in the US, everybody can legally buy a shotgun, that is a fast and painless method (but a little messy)

I'm going with SN today I hope I die because if I don't I will have to try again later and keep living this crap. I will go with 20g sodium nitrite + anti emetics + ratidine + 10 hour fast
