I've been researching this method recently and so far it seems like a rather painful way to die. Death usually occurs in 2-8 hours following vomiting, defecation and seizures. Although 1 thing that makes azide seem better compared to sodium nitrite and other methods is that if you take it you're gonna die 100%, it's irreversible. You can find more info about it on 8ch /suicide/ board.

There was one person in a Discord server I used to be in who commited suicide by taking azide. He didn't let us know about the dosage and effects he had experienced after taking it which is a shame because it could have served as a favor for this community.

@TehArgentum ,

I looked for google groups on the suicide topics and learned that the groups were basically gone. One reference to 'discord' but I don't have any login credentials. Is there any way to get access/is there anything discussed that adds to this forum ?

My stance re: suicide is pro-choice.

@Arak Discord is an instant messaging software, you can easily download it from official website and make an account for it. That one server (i.e chatroom) that I was in isn't specifically about suicide, it just happened that one member was suicidal and talked about it there. Although I know that Sanctioned Suicide has Discord server, I'm not a member of it, but I think you can message mods here to get an invite. I also heard that 8ch /suicide/ board has a server on there.

I got the latest version of the book. There is no megathread ? I wonder why.

Nitschke commends its lethality.
''relatively peaceful''death. Blocks the enzyme .... (but for some people it doesn't work quickly. Why ?)

Immediate pharmacological effect : presumed due to the formation of nitric oxide in the CNS. There is a delayed lethal 'metabolical' effect.

Nitschke is not God, however.

Based on analytic findings the results can vary. It depends on how much you are exposed to. Anywhere from passing out and falling into a coma within minutes to withering in pain and dying painfully 3 days later. It seems to be based on how much you are exposed too and how quickly the gut absorbs.
The only positive with this method- is IF done correctly, there is no antidote, so death is pretty much guaranteed.

Symptoms of a lethal dose, according to a source not written in English

'severe headache, vomiting, dizziness, nausea, fainting, diarrhea, palpitations, seizures, blindness, confusion.'

How humane is it really ?
