Given the megathread for SN and the number of posts it looks like more people opt for SN than SA, the laltter doesn't even have a real thread.

My general impression is that SA may be more brutal but faster, SN is slower. Whether SN causes less suffering is unclear.

I also suspect Nitschke chose SA and SN because of the way those substances are used in Australia. possibly, there may be others ? But that's a different topic.

Go into your drawer and find me a spoon that isn't metal. SA is explosive when exposed to metal. In addition, your body leaves a gas from being mixed with your stomach acid that is toxic I believe.
(I say this because not sure off hand. )

SN offers complete reversibility, less danger overall, and availability. SA is known to be explosive and dangerous and as such can be more regulated. Even here in FreedomLand, its not as easy to acquire as SN.

At 15:01 the comparison. The very severe headache is unique (?) to SA. I wonder if a powerful opiate would help.

I wonder what symptoms you will experience with both if you fall unconscious quickly ... I think that's a key factor. I'll see about comparisons later, but what will you experience while you are still conscious and to what degree ?

Other source that discusses SA for suicide says 'terrible abdominal pain'.

Chabot 'horrible death'.

I wouldn't just rely on Nitschke. He's just a man, not god.
