i know some people here might wont to hear this but its actually true in most cases


once you socially isolated it might be comfortable for the moment (no critic, no mockery etc) but in the longrun everything will go downhill

Having to be around people this past month or so has helped this to sink in a bit. It's not that i "enjoy" the additional company but I know I'm being observed to a certain extent. Which means i must be more aware of myself and my actions. I have to shower and look presentable (mostly) and try to appear not too down...so as not to contaminate others with my "bad" mood.

Living alone, IDGAF! I can cocoon myself in a blanket of sadness and despair...and just disappear.

Important for what? I'm my own person so don't feel the need to adhere to someone else's standards or perception of what I'm supposed to be like. Having to be around people who don't understand and never will is one of the main things I look forward to when I'm dead.

I understand. My case is a bit different. They are already doing me favor letting me stay here. I don't want to seem ungracious.

It's true, humans are social creatures, there's a reason social isolation is used as punishment/torture. Still, I'd rather be alone than with people I can't relate to in the slightest.

Maybe people who isolate themselves were once very social and had a lot of friends or a relationship. But then unexpected things happen like trauma ,abuse, rape and health issues. No one knows another persons story or can understand what someone else might be going through. Also if the real us is not the "best" us then what? Are we supposed to be fake to appease others?
