So yeah I got put under crisis team as a suicide helpline broke my privacy and rung police on me.

They've not really helped me in past but we will see how they are this time.

I'm wondering however what helps people's anxiety, panic attacks, voices, flashbacks please? Even if it's music.

Also has crisis team or similar done anything helpful for you?

I thought it was all supposed to be confidential.

It isn't, that's why helplines are a complete waste of time to people who are genuinely suicidal. Your rights as a human being are always completely disregarded when that taboo word is brought up.

The NHS only traumatized one of my frends further and constantly tried to coerce her into harmful treatments including anti-psychotics.

I'm on anti psychotics unfortunately.

I don't think anywhere you phone now is confidential I've ended up with police at my door due to it. Luckily I was in otherwise my door was going in. Which would mean I have no door as that's my only door

I've been dropped by the crisis team a grand total of 4 times. And after the chain of calls I've had to make today just to get my medication, it looks like I've just had my 4th. Useless.

They can be helpful but it depends on who the doctors/team are. It's not the same for everyone. Hope you get better mate

Thanks everyone I've been under the team before but they have quite alot of new staff as was under them 2017.
They have refused to take me on caseload several times the last few years.

Today they have decided on daily visits and I'm left in charge of my own medication somehow

Not sure about other countries, but in the US, NOTHING is confidential. Don't believe that anyone won't report you if they believe you are a threat to yourself, regardless of what they say/promise.

I think the general rule almost everywhere is that if you present an imminent "dAnGeR tO YUorSeLF oR OthErS" they are obligated to get law enforcement involved.

Before you are admitted to mental health services, (UK) they inform you that anything you tell them is confidential, unless you tell them that you are suicidal and that you have a plan in place, AND/OR that you are intending to hurt someone else.
Then they will inform the appropriate services, i.e. Police, CMHT team for them to intervene.

That's why you have to nurse these thoughts inside you, letting them grow stronger and more vivid, never sharing them with anyone. Until one day your in your backyard with a shaved head and you're rigging up a panel van with barrels of nitrate rich fertiliser.

...or you come to SS and just vent it all here. :) Stay safe everyone!

Sorry to hear of your problems. I have personally contacted the Samaritans ( UK ) on several occasions, even told the person on the other end of the phone that i was planning my demise and they seemed to be going on a script and not actually listening to me. Anyway they were as useful as a chocolate teapot so will not be using them again.

Im hopiing others have better luck and seek all the help that's available. But it seems to be the luck of the draw , my GP who prescribed my meds hasn't called me in a few months even thought i have mentioned suicide to them.

I'm always an imminent danger to myself, but up here in the sticks they couldn't give a flying fuck. I nearly died at Christmas and the response I got was "that must of been a shock" yeah, no shit.

When they got involved with my sister they suggested removing her child from her custody. Social took the kid away, yet crisis still wouldn't section her. Their reason ' she doesn't fit their criteria for sectioning '
