Hello

I plan on conducting SN tonight without access to an antiemetic. I won't be found but am nervous about long term damage including brain damage or blindness; and being sectioned again.

I am 32 years old and live completely alone without any friends. I weigh 100 kg.

I haven't been taking Quetiapine regularly but do have about 500mg of it left from an old prescription. My plan is to:

1) fast for 10 hours

2) 10pm: take 500mg quetiapine, 1200mg ibuprofen, 2mg lorazepam

3) 11pm: 25mg nitrite in 60ml water

I won't be calling the ambulance unless I go blind which will really scare me.

I'd be grateful to have some thoughts on likely success factor, any warnings around long term damage and other thoughts.

I've tried partial on multiple occasions but neckties kept breaking when I passed out and a rope bought was unable to make me pass out.

Thanks in advance

It's generally agreed that antipsychotics aren't effective as anti-ementics, unless you've been taking them for a while at a large enough dose. Stat dose is unlikely to do much. The linked thread will answer almost every.

Sorry you feel like this. I wish you peace in where ever your actions take you!

Edit: fixed the comment to actually make sense

Do you mean that antipsychotics taken once only will not be sufficient as an antiemetic?

Yeah I'm a sleep deprived idiot who can't focus enough to proof read.

I edited my original comments but to be 100% clear it is generally viewed that taking a large dose of an antipsychotic is not a suitable replacement for an anti-ementic.

Bro, can you please consider firearm suicide or hanging? Something that isn't so risky? If you have access to a firearm, I envy you. I live in a country where foreigners can't get firearms. If you have a shotgun, use it! Put it behind your ear, you're damn near guaranteed going to die.

Unfortunately I am not in the US and I have had many failed attempts at hanging. Do you view SN as very risky? Why?

Quetiapine answered (see above).

long term damage including brain damage or blindness
None whatsoever . Look for death & recovery .

without access to an antiemetic
Not required. SN fatal as it is. But should reduce vomiting and hasten fatality . Up to you.

1) fast for 10 hours
You may do that if comfortable . 4-6 enough .

likely success factor
99% . :aw:

Would anyone be willing to talk to me whilst I do this?

Would it be possible to have a chat on the phone somehow? Say using Skype or WhatsApp?

No problem if not just let me know. I'd really like a human voice to talk to.
