Is my SN still valid?
I put it in a tupperwaere and the water separated from the salt.
I no longer have the original package that someone found at my house..

I don't know.. maybe condensation? or the plastic container that caused this?

I'm wondering how the water came into the tupperware box. This is obviously a saturated solution, that's why you still see undissolved SN. You should test it whether it's still SN or not. Maybe someone added water to it in the hope it gets destroyed? I have no idea where that water could come from.

The water would worry me. Separated or not i don't think there is supposed to be water in it. The SN I know of is dry granules of salt sometimes clumped up a little.

Deliquescence (turning to liquid) from absorbing moisture from the air. SN is very hygroscopic and will pull moisture out of the air and slowly dissolve. A Tupperware container is nowhere near air tight enough for long term storage, especially in humid climates.

That would have been my guess as well.
There is a stickied thread about the stability of SN and I think it's mentioned in there how long SN lasts in solution.

I noticed that with the grains of SN left out. Each grain turned into liquid. It absorbs moisture in the air. To answer your question: no.
