Help SN Storage

So I need to move my sn from the bag it was delivered in into another bag (if I have one around) or some tupperware. Is there any way this could damage the sn, make it less effective, etc?

I don't think it would affect it considering how it's shipped and repackaged.

It becomes Sodium Nitrate if you expose it to air. So place in an air-tight jar.

Yeah I heard something similar, one of the reasons why I'm worried about moving it to a different container but I don't have much of a choice lol. Though it's got to be exposed to the air at some point anyways to weigh it and mix it with your water so hopefully it's fine as long as you don't have it exposed for really long periods of time?

I was a bit worried about SN storage. I've ordered a 50g (100% pure) bottle and I don't intend to open it until the day I plan to ctb because I don't want to risk it turning into nitrate.

What is difference between food grade sn and labouratory reagent? Should only food grade sn be used for ctb?

Did you buy this from Interchem on ebay? How well was the bag packed, it does not look sealed properly.

In case I do open it, I think I know how to prevent it from turning into nitrate. Get a vacuum sealer, put a couple of moisture and oxygen absorbents (silica and oxygen absorbers) in a vacuum sealed bag and vacuum seal it.

I picked it up today. Mine was poorly packaged from the outside and it is 99.95% and no mention of food grade as on the image on ebay.

Do you think screwing the cap back on (once the plastic wrapping has been broken) will still be okay for storage?
